<p>The Senior Modern Workplace Engineer plays a key role in the design, delivery, and ongoing support of cloud-based productivity and collaboration services across the organisation. The role focuses on the research, implementation, governance, and continuous improvement of Microsoft 365 and related cloud platforms, ensuring secure, scalable, and user‑centric digital workplace solutions.&nbsp;</p>

<p>This position supports both&nbsp;tactical execution&nbsp;and&nbsp;strategic modernisation initiatives, contributing to operational excellence, automation, and long-term platform sustainability.&nbsp;</p>

The core responsibilities

<p><strong>Business &amp; Cloud Enablement&nbsp;</strong></p>

<p>Partners with business leaders and technology teams to determine how Microsoft 365 and cloud services best support client and business needs, contributing to the design and implementation of solutions hosted on the bank’s cloud infrastructure.&nbsp;</p>

<p><strong>Modern Workplace &amp; Cloud Engineering&nbsp;</strong></p>

<ul>

<li>

<p>Design, implement, and support Modern Workplace solutions built on Microsoft 365 and Azure platforms, including SharePoint, Exchange Online, Teams, OneDrive, Power Platform, Intune, Purview, Viva Suite, and Microsoft Copilot.&nbsp;&nbsp;</p>

<p>Contribute to the development and evolution of secure, scalable cloud services that align with business and regulatory requirements.&nbsp;&nbsp;</p>

<p>Support the lifecycle management, governance, and optimisation of collaboration and productivity platforms.</p>

<p><strong>Automation &amp; Engineering Enablement&nbsp;</strong></p>

</ul>

<p>Develop, maintain, and refine automation scripts and processes to support cloud deployments, configuration management, and ongoing operations.&nbsp;&nbsp;</p>

<p>Perform testing and validation of cloud services, platform updates, and upgrades prior to production rollout.&nbsp;&nbsp;</p>

</ul>

<p>Reuse of frameworks to improve delivery consistency and cost effectiveness &nbsp;</p>

</ul>

<p><strong>Security, Compliance &amp; Identity&nbsp;</strong></p>

<p>Partner closely with Identity &amp; Access Management (IAM) and security teams to ensure appropriate security controls, access governance, and compliance across cloud environments.&nbsp;&nbsp;</p>

<p>Assist in monitoring and assessing security posture for users, groups, third‑party access, and cloud services.&nbsp;&nbsp;</p>

</ul>

<p>Document design, security controls, and operational standards to support audits and regulatory requirements.</p>

</ul>

<p><strong>Stakeholder &amp; Project Collaboration&nbsp;</strong></p>

<ul>

<p>Liaise with business stakeholders and internal technology teams to determine how Modern Workplace services can best support business objectives.&nbsp;&nbsp;</p>

<p>Contribute to project planning and delivery for initiatives involving Microsoft 365 and related cloud platforms.&nbsp;&nbsp;</p>

<p>Provide technical input, operational guidance, and subject matter expertise across multiple initiatives.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Leads and contributes to projects involving Microsoft 365, Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD), Intune, and related cloud platforms, including testing and validation of server and software upgrades.</p>
