SUPERVISORY TRAFFIC MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-09) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector applying an expert knowledge of traffic management and transportation policies, principles, and methodologies in all areas of Advance Traceability and Control (ATAC) relating to the shipment of materials worldwide in support of military operations. Specialized experience must reflect experience with all aspects of traffic management functions including joint transportation policies, regulations, instructions, operating practices of commercial carriers including carriers equipment, traffic patterns, security requirements, packing and loading methods, as well as, demonstrating a thorough knowledge of DoD Supply and transportation regulations, policies and procedures, and instructions. Examples of specialized experience include: 1) Provide special, technical, advisory, and support services including the development and implementation of proposed, new and permanent policies and procedures; 2) Implement and coordinates transportation strategies and service utilizing Air Mobility Command (AMC) Commercial Air, Truck, and Sealift; 3) Provide advisory services and logistic support to global activities including those outside the area of responsibility; 4) Develop appropriate plans and procedures that ensure the safe, timely, and cost effectiveness of material shipment to worldwide destinations in support of deployed aircraft and ships as well as shore activities; 5) Perform independent studies and analyzes traffic systems and operations using a variety of methods, procedures, and systems; 6) Demonstrate a knowledge of Contracting Officer's Representative (COR) responsibilities and 7) Provide guidance to subordinates and reviewing work to be accomplished.
