Standard Job Description
We are seeking a motivated DevSecOps Engineer. The DevSecOps Engineer will be responsible for new and existing development environments. Deployment of tools, infrastructure security, monitoring, and installation/configuration of applications. The DevSecOps Engineer plays a key role in establishing secure workflows and patterns for application lifecycle management.
This role is for a Classified Linux Dev Sec Ops Engineer with a focus on supporting Linux, Kubernetes, containers, and High Performance Computing (HPC) clusters.
The ideal candidate for this position has worked in agile software development environments, taking ownership of their tasks/stories, and contributing to various products. At times, they may need to work closely with team leads to firm up requirements or perform testing.
Responsibilities:
- System administration of heterogeneous networks using Linux integrated into Windows Server Active Directory Domains.
- Identifying and resolving technical challenges through software solutions.
- Manage operating system cyber compliance, upgrades, and patching.
- Ensure the integrity and availability of applications as well as coordinate new application installations, upgrades, and customer support in classified areas.
- Documenting infrastructure configurations, processes, and procedures.
- Automating repetitive tasks to increase efficiency and reduce errors.
- Responsible for implementing effective backup/recovery, resource accounting, and auditing procedures.
- Implements security designs in hardware, software, data, and procedures.
- Perform guidance and management for hardware, including diagnostics, troubleshooting, and maintenance on multiple architectures.
Basic Qualifications
- US DoD Secret clearance with ability to obtain a US DoD Top Secret clearance.
- CompTIA Security+ or equivalent Certification or ability to obtain one.
- Significant knowledge and experience with Linux distributions and environments; preferably with Rocky, Red Hat, or CentOS as well as integrating with Windows Active Directory environments.
- Ability to work through technical, project, operational, and resource challenges.
- Experience with stateless HPC Cluster Environment.
- Experience using HPC job schedulers. (Slurm/PBSPro/OGE)
- Experience with Linux administration and hardening.
- Knowledge of DevSecOps processes and software supply chain security.
- Knowledge of software development lifecycle and SDLC promotion strategies.
- Knowledge of secrets management platforms. (Vault/Fornetix/Fortanix)
- Knowledge of virtualization technologies. (VMWare/Nutanix/LibvirtD/Hyper-V)
Desired Skills
- Experience with Kubernetes and container technologies such as Docker, AppTainer, and Podman
- Experience building and/or working with hypervisors and in virtual environments. (VMWare/Nutanix/LibvirtD/Hyper-V)
- Experience with monitoring and alerting applications such as Prometheus and Grafana.
- Experience developing and maintaining Windows or Linux baselines, including security settings and hardening
- Experience with SSSD and Active Directory, LDAP, or IDM/FreeIPA Integration
- Experience managing McAfee anti-virus updates on Windows and Linux/Unix; prefer EPO experience.
Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $81100.00 - $150500.00

PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
