About this role

<p><strong>Key duties/Responsabilities:</strong></p>

<p>&nbsp;</p>

<ul>

<li>Ensure all areas of responsibility are performing within the needs of the business and KPIS where relevant are being met.</li>

<li>Conduct regular one to ones and appraisals with immediate reporting lines.</li>

<li>Conduct investigations where necessary and look at root cause analysis of the incident to ensure no re occurrence, liaising with other areas of the business as required</li>

<li>Liaise with 3rd party suppliers to ensure compliance in the supply chain and risk is mitigated where possible</li>

<li>Review SOPS on a regular basis to ensure they are fit for purpose and amend where necessary</li>

<li>Review losses in the supply chain and where necessary work with the wider Profit Protection Team to resolve</li>

<li>Offer specialist advice to the wider business in relation to security and supply chain risk ensuring 3rd party suppliers are also following the jd requirements</li>

<li>Work with the DC Management team and assist in the Strategic Development/implementation of other Dcs within the supply chain</li>

<li>Challenge and ensure compliance of the policies and procedures within the DC s and Supply chain</li>

<li>Produce reporting from all areas of responsibility</li>

<li>Investigate sensitive internal matters as required</li>

<li>Develop new and improved ways of protecting the supply chain and DCs</li>

<li>Act as a point of contact out of hours where necessary and offer advice/guidance and attend incidents where necessary</li>

<li>Attend meetings as required and develop relationships with key stakeholders ie IT/ HR</li>

<li>Conduct checks and review processes at the Distribution centre and 3rd party suppliers which are within the remit of the role.</li>

<li>Work with other partners and agencies to gather intelligence and reduce risk to the business</li>

<li>Attend subsidiaries and other satellite locations to ensure checklists have been completed and all physical security is working correctly and process followed at least once a month</li>

<li>Promote the mission statement of the department and ensure all direct reports share and cascade the departmental values</li>

<li>Develop and liaise with key stakeholders in relation to our Modern Day Slavery Policy and review issues liaising with the relevant authority</li>

<li>Conduct Disciplinary hearings where necessary</li>

<li>Conduct adhoc tasks in line with the needs of the business</li>

<li>Review data and incidents to ensure accuracy and feedback where necessary</li>

<li>Conduct random checks on the epod solution to ensure compliance from drivers at delivery and work with other areas of PP ensuring compliance</li>

<li>Out of hours checks on locations to ensure consistency and vehicle security is appropriate</li>

<li>Ensure all hubs/dcs are operating to the group model and using the correct security methods.</li>

<li>Continually develop the security within the supply chain</li>

<li>Ensure all physical and technical security is working in locations and faults rectified within a suitable time frame</li>

<li>Develop and promote corporate policies within the group.</li>

<li>Conduct field checks on drivers at delivery locations to ensure process is being followed.</li>

<li>Investigate discrepancies within the supply chain.</li>

<p><strong>Skills/Experience/Knowledge Needed:</strong></p>

<p>&nbsp;</p>

<ul>

<li>Well organised with strong attention to detail and ability to manage workloads, prioritising where necessary</li>

<li>Interview trained (Wicklander/Police etc)</li>

<li>Knowledge of supply chain/logistics movements</li>

<li>Fluent in English both written and oral</li>

<li>Excellent interpersonal, communication and presentation skills, both verbal and written.</li>

<li>Understanding of Microsoft office.</li>

<li>Able to work individually and as part of a team with minimal supervision.</li>

<li>Understanding of GDPR and the implications for a business of breaches</li>

<li>Knowledge of legislation in relevant countries for security officers ie searching/patrolling etc</li>

<li>Ability at short notice to deal with incidents</li>

<li>Able to conduct investigations and submit relevant paperwork to HR</li>

<li>flexible approach to work and hours due to being a 24hr business.</li>

<li>Ability to travel within the area designated and into the UK for meetings etc.</li>
