Traveling Superintendent - Multifamily Construction

<p>Position Summary</p>

<p>Great States Construction, a leading commercial general contractor based in Fargo, ND, is seeking an experienced and dedicated&nbsp;traveling&nbsp;Superintendent&nbsp;to oversee day-to-day field operations for multi-family and commercial construction projects in Cheyenne, WY. The Superintendent will manage on-site activities, enforce safety and quality standards, and coordinate subcontractors and field crews. The Superintendent will report directly to the VP of Construction.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Compensation Structure</p>

<ul>

<li>$100k+/yr depending on experience</li>

<li>Bonus structure based on performance</li>

<li>Per Diem</li>

<li>Company Vehicle or Gas Stipend</li>

<p>Key Responsibilities</p>

<ul>

<li>Direct all on-site field operations for assigned&nbsp;multi-family and commercial construction projects.</li>

<li>Partner with Project Managers to maintain alignment on project goals, schedules, budgets, and client expectations.</li>

<li>Coordinate daily activities of subcontractors, foremen, and field crews to ensure efficient progress.</li>

<li>Enforce job site safety, ensuring compliance with OSHA regulations and company safety policies.</li>

<li>Monitor quality control to ensure compliance with drawings, specifications, and building codes.</li>

<li>Lead daily/weekly job site meetings with subcontractors and field teams.</li>

<li>Provide accurate daily logs, progress reports, and field documentation.</li>

<li>Anticipate and resolve field-related issues, escalating when necessary in coordination with the Project Manager.</li>

<li>Support scheduling, logistics, and resource planning to keep projects on track.</li>

<li>Participate in project closeout, ensuring punch list items are completed and the site is turned over to the client in excellent condition.</li>

<p>Qualifications</p>

<ul>

<li>Minimum of 7–10 years of field experience in construction, with proven leadership as a Superintendent or Foreman.</li>

<li>Strong experience in&nbsp;multi-family construction; additional experience in&nbsp;commercial general contracting&nbsp;required.</li>

<li>Solid understanding of construction methods, building codes, and safety requirements.</li>

<li>Proven ability to lead subcontractors and field crews effectively.</li>

<li>Excellent communication and organizational skills, with the ability to collaborate as a team partner with Project Managers.</li>

<li>OSHA certification required; other industry safety credentials are a plus.</li>

<li>Ability to travel within the Cheyenne, WY region as needed.</li>

<li>Clean driving record.</li>

</ul>

<li>Proficient with construction technology tools including Procore (preferred) and Bluebeam.</li>

<li>Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite.</li>
