<p>Summary: Review architectural drawings and specifications to create complete estimates for materials and labor to complete commercial glazing projects.</p>

<p>&nbsp;</p>

<p>Role and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned to meet business needs.</p>

<ul>

<li>90% Estimator</li>

<li>10% Preliminary work with architects, engineers, general contractors, and owners</li>

<li>Reviews and evaluates Requests for Estimates</li>

<li>Prepares weekly bid calendar and ensures timely completion of estimates</li>

<li>Continues to follow-up on estimates and track progress of bids</li>

<li>Where predetermined standard(s) are not available, makes an estimate</li>

<li>Schedules meetings with Architects and Contractors to continue to generate leads</li>

<li>Attends departmental meetings as required.</li>

<li>Acts as Project Manager when necessary</li>

<li>Copies project drawings and specification documents</li>

<li>Will greet customers and the public in person and on the telephone, answers questions and directs to appropriate individual when necessary.</li>

<li>May assist in product layout and applications</li>

<li>Executes take-off of construction documents</li>

<li>Inputs take-offs into computer spreadsheet</li>

<li>Prepares cost analysis</li>

<li>Assists in product submittals</li>

<li>Partners with our Safety Department and Operations Leadership to promote and ensure a safe work environment and ensure all safety precautions are met.</li>

<li>Prompt and reliable attendance.</li>

<li>Other duties may be assigned to meet business needs<br></li>

</ul>

<p>Hours: Monday-Friday 8:00am-5:00pm</p>

<p>Qualifications:</p>

<p>Must have a valid driver’s license and be insurable under Company’s insurance. Working experience of computers and experience with MS Office 365 (Word &amp; Excel). AutoCAD experience is a bonus. This individual must be a strong team player with excellent interpersonal skills, strong written and oral communication skills as well as proven customer service. Must be detail oriented with strong organizational, negotiating, and problem-solving skills. Must be able to work under minimal supervision, manage multiple tasks and interact with others in a professional manner.</p>

<p>Education Requirements:</p>

<p>Associate’s Degree in estimating, drafting, engineering, or related field, one or more years of experience or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Knowledge, Skills &amp; Abilities</p>

<ul>

<li>Working knowledge of MS Office 365 (Word &amp; Excel)</li>

<li>Experience reading blueprints and specifications</li>

<li>AutoCAD experience preferred</li>

<li>Ability to accept responsibility and account for his/her actions</li>

<li>Ability to read and interpret documents such as blueprints</li>

<li>Ability to perform work accurately and thoroughly</li>

<li>Ability to organize and direct oneself</li>

</ul>
