Housekeeping Supervisor

<p>Position Statement: </p>

<p>Overseeing work activities of Room Attendant, Public Areas Attendant and Laundry Team members to ensure all related areas meeting prescribed standards of cleanliness and orderliness.&nbsp; Also provide organization, instruction and guidance to members of the Housekeeping and Laundry team.</p>

<p><u>Position Summary:</u></p>

<ul>

<li>Develop and implement strategies to improve efficiency and functionality of the department.</li>

<li>Assign tasks to staff and inspect work to ensure that the prescribed standards of cleanliness are met.</li>

<li>Provide guidance, support and identify development needs and manage the relationship between team members and the organization.</li>

<li>Gather and submit performance reports to the Director of Housekeeping and Public Areas.</li>

<li>Responsible for inventory and coordination of maintenance of all guestrooms.</li>

<li>Assist in training new and existing team members while adhering to company policies.</li>

<li>Trains employees regarding use of equipment (i.e. buffers, carpet shampoos, vacuum cleaners, etc.) and methods of cleaning various surfaces (i.e. marble, vinyl tile, wood etc.).</li>

<li>Assist in performing employee’s performance evaluations.</li>

<li>Investigate and address complaints regarding poor housekeeping service.</li>

<li>Regularly take inventory of cleaning supplies and ordering stock as needed.</li>

<li>Liaise with front office management to ensure all rooms are clean and fully furnished to accommodate guests’ needs.</li>

<li>Collaborate and communicate with other internal departments to ensure guest satisfaction.</li>

<p>Qualifications</p>

<ul>

<li>Associate degree or higher preferred.</li>

<li>Previous housekeeping or related experience.</li>

<li>Ability to work with little or no supervision while meeting high-performance standards.</li>

<li>Physical mobility and ability to stand for long periods.</li>

<li>Well-groomed, professional appearance.</li>

<li>A team player with a can-do attitude</li>

<li>Goldwynn operates a twenty-four (24) hour business. Therefore, you will be scheduled to work shifts, which may change from time to time.</li>
