Java Developer

<p><b>Application Developer III </b></p><p>SUMMARY: </p><p>Develops and maintains internal and external JAVA web based applications, including quality assurance. Work in a team environment with developers and project managers on projects. Supports the integration of hardware and software systems, and generation of related documentation.</p><p>RESPONSIBILITIES:</p><p>Develop software to support the NASA SEWP Program</p><p> • Review general requirements, break down and design system components and the interfaces between them</p><p> • Develop, test and support customer facing and internal web applications</p><p> • Use existing design patterns to improve design and manageability of code</p><p> • Collaborate and work with other Java Developers and internal stakeholders</p><p> • Document the system design, component design, interface design and the code to enable future maintainability</p><p> • Adhere to project schedules, and proactively resolve or escalate issues to management</p><p> • Adapt and contribute to a fast-paced and agile application development environment</p><p> • Provide weekly status report and submit timesheet on a timely basis</p><p> • Provide software maintenance support after core business hours, nights or weekend</p><p> • Provide Level II customer support via phone support, Parature customer service software and/or for existing web applications</p>

<p>BA/BS degree in Computer Science or related field</p><p>3 years of web development experience using a JAVA Framework such as <b>Spring</b> is required.</p><p>At least 3 years’ experience working with SQL Server or ORACLE databases.</p><p>Experience with JBoss, Hibernate or myBATIS, Maven, rich AJAX web applications, GIT and CMMI/Software Development Process Model knowledge are preferred.</p><p>Agile Development Experience preferred.</p>
