<p>HLA2 is part of a small group of schools run by Hebrew Public: Charter Schools for Global Citizens. <h3><strong>What’s the Role</strong></h3>

<p>We are seeking a driven <strong>Afterschool Counselor</strong> that operates with a high sense of urgency and possesses a strong work ethic. Candidates for this position do NOT need to speak Hebrew.&nbsp;</p>

<h3><strong>What You’ll Do</strong><strong><em>&nbsp;</em></strong></h3>

<ul>

<li>Lead and supervise students in a variety of activities, including arts and crafts, sports, homework assistance, and enrichment projects.</li>

<li>Design and implement age-appropriate activities that foster creativity, teamwork, and learning.</li>

<li>Maintain a safe, positive, and inclusive environment for all participants.</li>

<li>Monitor student behavior, provide guidance, and address any challenges with care and professionalism.</li>

<li>Work closely with other afterschool staff to ensure a cohesive and well-organized program.</li>

<li>Communicate effectively with parents/guardians, sharing updates on student participation and progress as needed.</li>

<li>Track attendance and maintain accurate records of student activities.</li>

<li>Follow school policies and procedures to ensure a secure and compliant program.</li>

</ul>

<h3><strong>Who You Are</strong><strong><em>&nbsp;</em></strong></h3>

<ul>

<li>High School Diploma from an accredited institution is required;&nbsp;</li>

<li>Elementary and/or Middle School teaching experience preferred</li>

<li>Hold NYS certification in content area or working towards certification is preferred</li>

<li>Excellent oral and written communication skills</li>

<li>Legally authorized to work in the USA</li>

<li>CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)</li>

<p><strong>Compensation: </strong>$20-$25/hour</p>

<p><strong>Schedule:</strong> Mondays-Thursdays from 2:00PM-6:00PM, also flexible for Fridays from 7:30AM-1:30PM</p>
