We are seeking a dedicated PRN Licensed Dental Hygienist to join our team in Fergus Falls, MN. Our flexible staffing model allows you to choose your schedule, giving you the work-life balance you need while providing excellent patient care. As an integral part of our dental team, you will play a crucial role in promoting oral health through direct patient care and education.
Key Responsibilities:
<li>Provide comprehensive oral hygiene care, including prophylaxis, scaling, and root planing.</li>
<li>Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and preventive care.</li>
<li>Assess and document patient conditions, collaborating with the dental team for optimal treatment plans.</li>
<li>Administer local anesthesia and nitrous oxide as permitted by state regulations.</li>
<li>Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records using OpenDental and other dental software.</li>
<li>Adhere to infection control protocols and maintain a clean, safe working environment.</li>
<li>Travel as needed to support community sites, which may include driving a company vehicle or personal transportation when necessary.</li>
Requirements:
<li>Graduation from an accredited school of dental hygiene.</li>
<li>Active Minnesota Dental Hygienist License.</li>
<li>2-4 years of clinical experience preferred.</li>
<li>Current CPR (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association or Red Cross.</li>
<li>Local anesthesia and nitrous oxide certification.</li>
<li>Effective oral and written communication skills in English (Spanish proficiency preferred based on clinic location).</li>
<li>Ability to work under a signed Collaborative Agreement following state and company regulations.</li>
<li>Proficiency or willingness to learn Open Dental software, Microsoft Office, and other necessary systems.</li>
<li>Valid driver’s license (based on clinic location) and willingness to travel as needed.</li>
