Project Controls Manager

<p>The Project Controls Manager will support and lead project controls functions across <strong>integrated design and construction projects</strong> within our advanced facilities portfolio. This role partners closely with design, engineering, and construction leadership to provide cost, schedule, forecasting, and performance visibility throughout the full project lifecycle — from early design through construction closeout.</p><p>The ideal candidate brings a strong background supporting <strong>technically complex projects</strong>, understands how project controls evolve from design into execution, and can drive predictable outcomes through data-driven insights.</p><p><strong>Responsibilities</strong></p><ul><li>Lead <strong>project controls activities</strong> across both <strong>design-phase and construction-phase</strong> projects, including cost control, scheduling, forecasting, and performance reporting</li><li>Develop, manage, and maintain <strong>project budgets, cost-loaded schedules, and cash flow forecasts</strong> from early design through construction</li><li>Support <strong>design-phase cost modeling, schedule development, and scope validation</strong> in partnership with engineering and estimating teams</li><li>Oversee <strong>change management</strong> across design development and construction execution, including trend logs, change estimates, and impact analysis</li><li>Provide regular <strong>project performance and forecast reporting</strong> to Project Directors, leadership, and clients</li><li>Identify cost, schedule, and execution <strong>risks and mitigation strategies</strong> across design development and field execution</li><li>Ensure alignment with CRB <strong>project controls standards, tools, and reporting templates</strong></li><li>Support <strong>baseline development, earned value analysis, progress measurement, and productivity tracking</strong></li><li>Collaborate with estimating, procurement, contracting, engineering, and construction teams throughout the full project lifecycle</li><li>Mentor and support project controls staff, cost engineers, and analysts as needed</li><li>Participate in internal and client-facing meetings representing CRB’s project controls expertise</li></ul>

<ul><li>Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.</li><li><strong>Minimum of 10 years of experience</strong> in project controls, cost management, or project management within a construction, EPC, or design-build environment</li><li>Experience supporting <strong>GMP-regulated or highly technical Life Science&nbsp;design and/or construction</strong></li><li>Demonstrated experience supporting <strong>both design and construction phases</strong> of complex projects</li><li>Strong understanding of <strong>cost control, scheduling (Primavera P6 or similar), forecasting, and earned value management</strong></li><li>Experience working in <strong>design-build, integrated EPC, or engineer-led project delivery models</strong></li><li>Advanced proficiency in Excel and project controls software/tools<ul><li>Strong financial acumen and ability to translate project data into actionable insights</li></ul></li><li>Excellent communication skills with the ability to work across engineering, construction, and leadership teams</li><li>Ability to operate effectively in fast-paced, technically complex project environments</li></ul><p>&nbsp;</p><p><strong>Preferred Qualifications</strong></p><ul><li>Background working in an <strong>engineer-led organization</strong></li><li>Prior experience mentoring or leading a project controls or cost management team</li></ul>
