As a Team Lead, you will guide a cross-functional team through design, integration, and test activities that span New Construction (NEWCON) and modernization platforms. Your guidance will drive the delivery of a robust and reliable combat system to the Submarine Force. The ideal candidate will combine strong technical expertise with hands-on leadership to align goals, manage schedules, drive process excellence, and foster a high‑performing collaborative environment.&nbsp;</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p>Who you are</p><p>Key Responsibilities:&nbsp;</p><p>• Represent the PaaS (Platform as a Service) team working closely with the various Submarine Warfare Federated Tactical Systems (SWFTS) subsystems, representing the team’s technical focus areas while maintaining transparent communication.&nbsp;</p><p>• Lead the PaaS team to complete the development, test, and integration of the PaaS product to ensure it meets the needs of the various SWFTS subsystems and the Navy customer.</p><p>• Operate autonomously under general direction; set assignment goals for the team, execute work, and present deliverables for review at critical milestones.&nbsp;</p><p>• Cultivate a positive team culture by removing blockers, mentoring members, and coordinating career development plans with the leadership team.&nbsp;</p><p>• Clearly communicate program objectives to the team and ensure their goals and priorities are aligned with the overall program strategy.&nbsp;</p><p>• Own the team’s master schedule, tracking all milestones, deadlines, and deliverables.&nbsp;</p><p>• Proactively identify, assess, and drive mitigation of technical and schedule risks.&nbsp;</p><p>• Enforce consistent execution of defined processes and procedures while partnering with the team to identify improvement opportunities and lead change implementation.&nbsp;</p><p>• Assess staffing needs, coordinate with leadership to fill gaps, and allocate resources efficiently across projects and tasks.&nbsp;</p><p>• Provide practical solutions to a broad spectrum of complex technical problems, ensuring they align with program objectives and constraints.&nbsp;</p><p>• Influence program strategy by providing input on objectives, contributing to roadmap discussions, and driving alignment with senior leadership.</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p>Why Join Us<br>Your Health, Your Wealth, Your Life&nbsp;<br>Joining Lockheed Martin means becoming part of a team that's making a significant impact in the field of engineering. <p>• Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret (or higher) security clearance.</p><p>• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., Systems Engineering, Computer Science, or related field) from an accredited institution with 10+ years of related experience; or comparable experience in lieu of degree.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;</p><p>•&nbsp;Basic knowledge of Kubernetes and associated services</p><p>• Demonstrated experience in Systems Engineering and/or Software Engineering, with proven problem-solving abilities to develop technical solutions for large-scale, complex projects.&nbsp;</p><p>• Experience with submarine combat systems or similar Command, Control, Communication, Computer, Cyber, and Intelligence (C5I) systems.&nbsp;</p><p>• Experience working on teams in a geographically dispersed and virtual environments.&nbsp;</p><p>• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to interface with internal and external stakeholders with a high degree of technical and interpersonal competency.&nbsp;</p><p>• Experience leading a team and “working through others” by assigning tasks, reviewing work product, etc.</p><p>• Fundamental understanding of server hardware, OS, network, cyber, storage, and software development.</p><h2>Desired Skills</h2>

<p>• Experience (or strong familiarity) with SWFTS architecture &amp; infrastructure including operating systems, display systems, time distribution, and/or network infrastructure (switches).</p><p>•&nbsp;Expert/SME knowledge in any of the areas of Kubernetes and associated services, cyber, software defined networking, and software defined storage</p><p>• Familiarity with Atlassian Jira and Confluence products, including experience with agile project planning, issue tracking, and collaboration tools.</p><p>• Familiarity with Model-Based Systems Engineering principles and tools.</p><p>• Familiarity with GitLab.</p><p>• Experience with software automation.</p><p><strong>Pay Information</strong></p><p>Full-Time Salary Range: $166900.00 - $309900.00</p><p>At Lockheed Martin, we know mission success starts with taking care of our people. Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and can vary from year to year and are tied to a range of performance metrics.</li><li>For (Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.</li></ul>
