Scale Operator - Seasonal

<p>What you'll do:&nbsp;</p>

<p>Scale Operations</p>

<ul>

<li>Weigh inbound and outbound grain trucks using a computerized scale; log vehicle type, tags, and driver information for each transaction</li>

<li>Probe grain to check moisture levels and grade the amount of foreign materials</li>

<li>Create and print receipts and tickets for customers and location transfers</li>

<li>Verify scale tickets with customers and generate reports as needed</li>

<li>Accurately record weight data for billing purposes and perform regular audits to ensure proper billing</li>

</ul>

<p>Customer Service</p>

<ul>

<li>Greet patrons, customers, farmers, and employees promptly and courteously</li>

<li>Answer phones promptly and direct calls as needed</li>

<li>Accept and process payments and assist customers with transaction questions</li>

</ul>

<p>Office &amp; Clerical Support</p>

<ul>

<li>Perform general clerical duties including filing, answering phones, and running errands</li>

<li>Pick up and drop off mail at the post office as needed</li>

<li>Maintain cleanliness of the office and scale room</li>

</ul>

<p>What we are looking for:&nbsp;</p>

<ul>

<li>Proficient with computers; ability to operate a computerized scale and accurately record transaction data</li>

<li>Strong attention to detail for data entry, billing accuracy, and audit processes</li>

<li>Excellent customer service and communication skills</li>

<li>Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred, or equivalent combination of education, training, and/or agricultural experience</li>
