Volunteer Board Member (Social Worker) – Brakin Out Inc.

<p>As a board member, you will leverage your expertise in social work and your professional network to help guide our strategic direction and enhance our programs. This is a volunteer position with an estimated commitment of 10 hours per month, including quarterly board meetings and occasional events.</p><p><strong>Key Responsibilities:</strong></p><ul><li><strong>Provide Expert Knowledge:</strong>&nbsp;Share insights and experience in working with at-risk youth and their families to inform our strategies and programs.</li><li><strong>Build Connections:</strong>&nbsp;Utilize your professional network to create partnerships and opportunities for the youth we serve.</li><li><strong>Support Program Development:</strong>&nbsp;Contribute to the development and improvement of programs tailored to at-risk youth.</li><li><strong>Advocate for Our Mission:</strong>&nbsp;Act as an ambassador for Brakin Out Inc., raising awareness and support within the community and professional circles.</li></ul>

<ul><li>Proven experience as a social worker or related role in social services.</li><li>Strong understanding of the challenges and needs of at-risk youth and their families.</li><li>Excellent communication and networking skills.</li><li>Commitment to the mission and values of Brakin Out Inc.</li><li>Experience in fundraising, grant writing, or resource development is a plus.</li><li>Knowledge of non-profit governance and strategic planning is preferred.</li><li>Previous board experience is a plus but not required.</li><li>Ability to work collaboratively and independently.</li><li>Passionate about making a positive impact on the community.</li></ul>
