<p>Horelyu Dene Ts’edi Kue is seeking an experienced Women’s Shelter Manager to lead the day-to-day operations of our 24/7 Women’s Shelter.</p>

<p>This is a hands-on leadership role responsible for ensuring the shelter operates safely and consistently, staff are supported and accountable, and women accessing the shelter receive respectful, trauma-informed and culturally appropriate support.</p>

<p>Key Responsibilities</p>

<ul>

<li>Oversee the day-to-day operation of the Women’s Shelter.</li>

<li>Supervise, schedule and provide direction to Shelter Attendants, ensuring appropriate 24/7 coverage.</li>

<li>Address staffing, attendance and operational issues as they arise.</li>

<li>Oversee resident intake, admissions, safety planning and discharge processes.</li>

<li>Ensure resident files, shift logs, incident reports and other required documentation are complete and accurate.</li>

<li>Provide leadership and direction during resident crises, serious incidents and emergencies.</li>

<li>Ensure shelter policies, safety procedures, confidentiality requirements and professional standards are followed.</li>

<li>Work closely with Family Support and other programs to connect residents with appropriate services and resources.</li>

<li>Maintain a safe, respectful and culturally welcoming shelter environment.</li>

<li>Keep the Operations Manager informed of significant staffing, resident, safety and operational matters.</li>

<li>Support staff training, development and continuous improvement of shelter operations.</li>

</ul>

<p>Qualifications</p>

<ul>

<li>3–5 years of relevant experience in shelter services, family violence, crisis intervention, social services, housing or a related field.</li>

<li>Previous supervisory or management experience, preferably in a residential, shelter or 24/7 service environment.</li>

<li>Degree or diploma in Social Work, Human Services, Community Services, Indigenous Studies or a related field is preferred. An equivalent combination of relevant education and experience may be considered.</li>

<li>Strong leadership, communication, judgment, problem-solving and conflict-resolution skills.</li>

<li>Experience supporting women experiencing violence, homelessness, trauma or other complex circumstances.</li>

<li>Knowledge of trauma-informed and culturally safe practices.</li>

<li>Experience working with First Nations communities is considered an asset.</li>

</ul>

<p>Requirements</p>

<ul>

<li>Satisfactory Criminal Record Check and Vulnerable Sector Check.</li>

<li>Valid driver’s licence and reliable transportation.</li>

<li>Current First Aid/CPR certification or willingness to obtain.</li>

<li>Willingness to complete required shelter-specific and safety training.</li>

<li>Flexibility to respond to urgent staffing or operational matters outside regular working hours when necessary due to the 24/7 nature of the shelter.</li>
