Project Manager - Multifamily Construction

<p>Position Summary</p>

<p>Great States Construction, a leading commercial general contractor based in Fargo, ND, is seeking a driven and organized Project Manager to lead multifamily and commercial construction projects in the St. Paul/Minneapolis market. This individual will partner closely with senior leadership and field teams to deliver projects on time and within budget. This role is ideal for a project manager ready to take ownership of projects and drive successful outcomes while continuing to grow into a senior leadership position. This role will report to the Senior Project Manager.</p>

<p>Key Responsibilities</p>

<ul>

<li>Manage projects from preconstruction through closeout</li>

<li>Own project schedules, budgets, and cost tracking</li>

<li>Lead subcontractor coordination and procurement</li>

<li>Support subcontractor negotiations and contract execution</li>

<li>Monitor project financial performance and support forecasting efforts</li>

<li>Partner with Superintendent to drive field execution</li>

<li>Provide coordination and direction to project team members, including APMs or project support staff (as applicable)</li>

<li>Manage RFIs, submittals, and change orders</li>

<li>Assist in maintaining project budgets, including cost forecasting and variance tracking</li>

<li>Participate in client and OAC meetings</li>

<li>Drive alignment between field and office teams</li>

<li>Identify and escalate risks with support from senior leadership</li>

<li>Support successful project closeout</li>

<p>Qualifications</p>

<ul>

<li>5 –8 years of construction project management experience with exposure to multi-family and commercial projects.</li>

<li>Experience on projects in the $1MM–$50MM range preferred</li>

<li>Strong understanding of construction processes, scheduling, and cost control</li>

<li>Demonstrated ability to manage projects with increasing responsibility and complexity</li>

<li>Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment</li>

<li>Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.</li>

<li>Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, or related field preferred.</li>

<li>Proficiency with construction technology tools and Microsoft Office Suite.</li>

<li>Clean driving record.</li>

<p>Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required</p>

<li>Experience with Procore (preferred).</li>

<li>Familiarity with Bluebeam or similar software.</li>

<li>Strong time management and multi-tasking abilities.</li>
