Come join us.</p><p>We are seeking a <strong>SmartCOMM Developer</strong> with strong experience in Smart Communications development, document composition, print workflows, spool/output processing and JavaScript.This role will design and maintain SmartCOMM templates, data models, shared content, and output configurations to support high-volume print and digital communications.&nbsp;</p>

<p>The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience with <strong>SmartCOMM Advanced Template Designer, Business Content Studio, data mapping, XML/XSD, batch configurations, print output generation, spool files, and integration with enterprise systems such as Guidewire</strong>. Experience with insurance communications, print/mail operations, and archival workflows is preferred.&nbsp;</p>

<p><strong>What will you do:</strong></p>

<p><strong>SmartComm Development</strong>&nbsp;</p>

<ul>

<li>Design, develop, configure, and maintain <strong>SmartCOMM templates, layouts, shared content, style sets, and data models</strong> for business communications.&nbsp;</li>

<li>Build and support <strong>print-ready documents</strong>, including static and dynamic layouts, headers/footers, conditional sections, reusable content blocks, forms, letters, notices, policy documents, billing documents, and claims correspondence.&nbsp;</li>

<li>Develop and maintain <strong>SmartCOMM data models</strong>, including XML schemas, business object mappings, input data structures, and transformation logic to support accurate document generation.&nbsp;</li>

<li>Configure and support <strong>batch and on-demand document generation workflows</strong>, including template selectors, output configurations, batch configurations, and post-processing requirements.&nbsp;</li>

<li>Create and execute <strong>unit testing, component testing, regression testing, and document validation</strong> to ensure output accuracy across print and digital channels.&nbsp;&nbsp;</li>

</ul>

<p><strong>Print Operations</strong>&nbsp;</p>

<ul>

<li>Support <strong>print processes and spool management</strong>, including generation of print output files, print streams, file packaging, sorting, bundling, archival copies, and coordination with downstream print vendors or print operations teams.&nbsp;</li>

<li>Maintain technical documentation including <strong>template design specifications, data mapping documents, print/spool handling instructions, deployment notes, and operational support guides</strong>.&nbsp;&nbsp;</li>

<li>Support <strong>print processes and spool management</strong>, including generation of print output files, print streams, file packaging, sorting, bundling, archival copies, and coordination with downstream print vendors or print operations teams.&nbsp;</li>

<li>Troubleshoot issues related to <strong>document rendering, missing data, formatting defects, print output, spool files, pagination, barcode/OMR marks, envelopes, inserts, and delivery channel failures</strong>.&nbsp;</li>

</ul>

<p><strong>Team effectiveness and collaboration</strong><strong></strong>&nbsp;</p>

<li>Work closely with <strong>business analysts, product owners, QA teams, business stakeholders, print operations, and external vendors</strong> to gather requirements and translate them into technical SmartCOMM solutions.&nbsp;</li>

<li>Participating as a core member of Gore IT's distributed network of senior technical resources, contributing expertise and alignment across shared engineering concerns such as platform stability, release quality, security posture, and operational readiness</li>

<li>Establish consistent code review practices and ensure adherence to development standards&nbsp;&nbsp;</li>

<li>Drive continuous improvement through adoption of modern tools, practices, and emerging technologies (including AI-assisted development)&nbsp;</li>

<p><strong>What You'll Need to Succeed:</strong></p>

<ul>

<li>3-5 years of SmartCOMM development experience. Formal SmartCOMM training or at least 3 years’ experience working on SmartCOMM &amp; Print related technologies.&nbsp;</li>

<li>Strong hands-on experience with JavaScript, Print related/content management related technologies.</li>

<li>Proficiency in documenting technical processes and monitoring performance metrics. &nbsp;</li>
