<p>For over 50 years, we have been recognized as a leader in indoor and outdoor landscaping, holiday design, and plant care. We design, install, and maintain distinctive landscapes throughout the tri-state area, including New York, New Jersey, and Connecticut.</p>
<p>We're looking for a Safety & Fleet Manager to join our team. This is a hands-on leadership role responsible for driving our safety culture, overseeing our fleet operations, ensuring regulatory compliance, and helping protect our most valuable assets—our people.</p>

<p>In this role, you will:</p>
<ul>
<li>Lead and continuously improve the company's safety programs, policies, and training initiatives.</li>
<li>Foster a culture of safety by partnering with leaders across the organization to identify risks and implement practical solutions.</li>
<li>Manage the company's fleet program, including driver onboarding, vehicle assignments, compliance tracking, and fleet performance.</li>
<li>Monitor driver qualifications, Motor Vehicle Records (MVRs), telematics, and DOT compliance requirements.</li>
<li>Investigate workplace injuries, vehicle accidents, and safety incidents, identify root causes, and recommend corrective actions.</li>
<li>Administer Workers' Compensation and automobile liability claims while coordinating return-to-work programs.</li>
<li>Conduct job site safety inspections and ensure compliance with OSHA, DOT, FMCSA, and other applicable regulations.</li>
<li>Oversee fleet maintenance, vehicle registrations, inspections, repairs, and lifecycle planning.</li>
<li>Build strong relationships with vendors, repair facilities, and service providers to ensure efficient and cost-effective fleet operations.</li>
<li>Prepare regulatory filings, compliance documentation, and executive reporting related to safety, fleet, and operational performance.</li>
<li>Provide guidance and support during fleet emergencies and safety-related incidents as needed.</li>
</ul>
<p>Qualifications:</p>
<ul>
<li>Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety, Risk Management, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.</li>
<li>2-4 years of experience managing safety programs, fleet operations, or a combination of both.</li>
<li>Working knowledge of OSHA, DOT, FMCSA, and applicable federal, state, and local regulations.</li>
<li>Experience administering fleet management systems, driver qualification programs, and regulatory compliance initiatives.</li>
<li>Strong investigative, analytical, and problem-solving skills.</li>
<li>Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and maintain accurate records.</li>
<li>Strong communication and relationship-building skills with employees, managers, vendors, and external partners.</li>
<li>Proficiency with Microsoft Office and fleet, safety, or compliance management systems.</li>
<li>OSHA 30 certification or other professional safety certification is preferred.</li>
</ul>
