Software Engineering Manager

Your role:

<p>The <strong>Software Engineering Manager </strong>is within the Data &amp; Insights Org which powers the data products, insights and APIs used across Warner Music Group’s business applications. This is a unique opportunity to be a part of a new, high-performing engineering center of excellence and drive significant impact for WMG's technology initiatives.</p>

<p>This role will collaborate closely with our North American Engineering teams to synchronize strategies, processes, and objectives. This is a hybrid position that requires you to work onsite at our Bangalore office a few days per week. As a Software Engineering Manager you will serve as technical people leader where you are hands-on and involved in designing and implementing projects with your team.</p>

Responsibilities:

<li>End to end ownership of team deliverables and objectives</li>

<li>Set technical strategy and engineering best practices in collaboration with senior engineers</li>

<li>Provide active career development and technical guidance to engineers</li>

<li>Hiring, team building, and performance management&nbsp;</li>

<li>Collaborate closely with business stakeholders to ensure successful project management &nbsp;</li>

About you:

<li>You have a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or other related field</li>

<li>You’re a passionate engineering leader, with at least 2 years of experience leading engineering teams of 5-10+ software and data engineers</li>

<li>You are hands on leader who writes code, conducts code reviews, and is involved in architectural design and strategy work</li>

<li>You have a deep knowledge of AWS or other large cloud computing environment</li>

<li>You communicate effectively and&nbsp; have a proven track record of effective hiring and team building&nbsp;</li>

<li>You thrive in ambiguity and fast-paced, evolving environments</li>

<li>You’re an empathetic leader who builds strong teams</li>
