Range Support Technician, Testing and Data Collection

<p>Dexis is seeking a Range Support&nbsp;Technician I&nbsp;to support a large-scale Army test and evaluation program. The project provides data collection, technical writing, computer operations,&nbsp;range&nbsp;scheduling, and administrative support services necessary to execute the government’s test mission.&nbsp;&nbsp;</p>

<p>Support encompasses testing of a wide variety of automotive, combat, electronic, general equipment, and ordnance materiel, with services including data collection and coordination, data compilation and processing, development and management of data collection forms, test monitoring, technical writing and editorial review, reporting, data and software administration, range scheduling, and related operational support.&nbsp;</p>

<p>The Range Support Technician supports the scheduling of physical and personnel resources for firing systems and ammunition testing, automotive testing, range training activities, and non-firing mission requirements. The role&nbsp;assists&nbsp;with daily and long-range scheduling, preparation and review of project plans and documents, and integration of range safety and environmental requirements into the scheduling process.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Work will be performed primarily onsite in Aberdeen, Maryland, with travel to other locations within the Continental United States (CONUS) and Outside the Continental United States (OCONUS) as required by mission needs. This position is contingent upon contract award.</p>

<p><strong>Responsibilities</strong>&nbsp;</p>

<ul>

<li>Schedule physical and personnel resources associated with firing systems and ammunition testing, automotive materiel testing,&nbsp;range&nbsp;training activities, and non-firing mission requirements.&nbsp;</li>

<li>Assist&nbsp;in the preparation, review, and&nbsp;commentary&nbsp;on plans and documents related to assigned projects.&nbsp;</li>

<li>Gather information and perform literature searches in support of assigned projects.&nbsp;</li>

<li>Assist&nbsp;in integrating&nbsp;range&nbsp;safety and environmental policies into the scheduling process.&nbsp;</li>

<li>Assist&nbsp;in scheduling daily tests and related operations.&nbsp;</li>

<li>Assist&nbsp;in producing daily, weekly, and projected monthly schedules.&nbsp;</li>

<li>Attend scheduling meetings with senior government technical personnel to discuss and resolve daily and long-range scheduling and operational problems.&nbsp;</li>

<li>Apply established methods, procedures, and techniques, as well as non-standard applications.&nbsp;</li>

<li>Use tact and diplomacy to obtain cooperation and&nbsp;assistance&nbsp;during the scheduling process and to negotiate trade-offs involving facilities, instrumentation, data, time, and operational restrictions in executing test and training missions.&nbsp;</li>

<p><strong>Qualifications</strong>&nbsp;</p>

<ul>

<li>Must have experience with commercial data and word processing software, including SQL Server, Microsoft Access, Excel, Word, and Outlook.&nbsp;</li>

<li>Must&nbsp;possess&nbsp;strong communication&nbsp;and organizational skills.&nbsp;</li>

<li>Must&nbsp;possess&nbsp;a high school diploma.&nbsp;</li>

<li>Must be proficient in speaking, reading, writing, and understanding English.&nbsp;</li>

<li>Must be able to communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing.&nbsp;</li>

<li>Must be proficient in the use of computers and Microsoft Office software.&nbsp;</li>

<li>Must be able to obtain and&nbsp;maintain&nbsp;a Secret security clearance.&nbsp;</li>

<li>Must be able to meet the physical requirements necessary to perform assigned functions, which may include working in extreme heat or cold, high humidity, blowing sand and dust, confined spaces, at heights, and walking distances over unimproved terrain while wearing required personal protective equipment (PPE).&nbsp;</li>

<li>Must be available to support work outside normal duty hours when required by mission needs.&nbsp;</li>

<li>Must be willing and able to travel within CONUS and OCONUS as&nbsp;required.&nbsp;</li>
