Lead hardware lifecycle planning and remediation activities, including assessment of aging hardware posture, development of replacement roadmaps, and coordination of procurement and installation activities in accordance with Government asset lifecycle management requirements. Lead workload consolidation and right sizing initiatives across a large virtual machine environment, applying memory utilization, compute demand, enclave separation requirements, and storage consumption as evaluation criteria; develop and execute consolidation plans that achieve measurable footprint reduction. Design and govern network architecture across a predominantly virtual network environment, including software defined networking, virtual switches and VLANs, virtual firewalls, load balancers, DNS, DHCP, and IP address management, with explicit attention to enclave boundary constraints and physical separation requirements. Lead active storage migration initiatives, including transitions to vSAN based platforms, developing migration plans, validating configurations, and ensuring continuity of operations throughout the migration lifecycle. Evaluate and recommend the appropriate mix of on premises, cloud native, and hybrid architectural approaches to achieve a right sized environment, with explicit consideration of program specific physical testing dependencies, enclave boundary constraints, and total cost of ownership. Develop and maintain authoritative infrastructure architecture documentation, including current state assessments, target state designs, hardware lifecycle gap analyses, network diagrams, dependency maps, and decision records, in Government approved repositories and transferable formats Required qualifications to be successful in this role: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
