<p><strong>*Position is contingent upon contract award*</strong></p><p>SOSi is seeking an experienced Ministry of Defense Advisor (MODA) to serve as a senior advisor to Iraqi Ministry leadership and supports USMILGP-Iraq ministerial-level objectives.</p><p><strong>Essential Job Duties</strong></p><ul><li>Advise senior officials.</li><li>Assist USMILGP-Iraq in managing and executing ministerial-level advisory activities.</li><li>Develop ministerial engagement strategies that improve institutional effectiveness and long term capability development.</li><li>Facilitate timely decision-making and information-sharing processes through observation,</li><li>analysis, and reporting.</li><li>Build and maintain professional relationships with senior ministry officials and other</li><li>government agencies.</li><li>Establish trusted relationships through frequent direct engagement with ministry leadership.</li><li>Assist in the development, implementation, and oversight of policies and procedures that</li><li>improve organizational and individual performance.</li><li>Support civil-military integration and democratic governance practices within defense</li><li>institutions.</li><li>Provide advice, reports, briefings, and recommendations on integration of military and civilian elements within ministry headquarters, and improvement of coordination among directorates, departments, and agencies.</li><li>Plan and manage operational and administrative planning,</li><li>Management of suspense, schedules, strategic plans, and operational plans.</li><li>Track and monitor organizational priorities.</li><li>Develop and implement effective battle rhythms and daily workflows.</li><li>Optimize available resources to meet ministry requirements.</li><li>Development and scheduling of key leader engagements.</li><li>Enhance advisor effectiveness.</li><li>Coordinate with senior Iraqi and coalition leadership.</li><li>Provide daily observations and written reports.</li><li>Provide status assessments of ministry staff, systems, programs, and transition efforts.</li><li>Provide executive level briefings for senior military and government officials.</li></ul><p>&nbsp;</p><p>&nbsp;</p>

<p><strong>Minimum Requirements</strong></p><ul><li>Active in Scope Secret clearance.</li><li>Must be a U.S. Citizen</li><li>Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline.</li><li>Thorough understanding of the Iraqi Ministry of Defense organizational structure and</li><li>operations.</li><li>Previous strategic-level experience with U.S. forces in Iraq since 2011 as either a civilian contractor, or a uniformed service member.</li><li>Significant knowledge and experience in civil-military relations, democratic governance and defense institution building.</li><li>Strong written and verbal communication skills.</li><li>Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.</li></ul>
