<p>As a Staff Cloud Engineer, you will serve as a senior technical expert supporting EQ Bank’s Microsoft cloud platforms with a focus on Power Platform (30%), Azure Cloud Engineering (30%), AKS and DevOps Enablement (20%), and Platform Process Improvement (20%). Reporting to the Director, Cloud Operations, you will design, implement, and improve reusable platform capabilities that empower both professional and citizen developers across the bank. </p>
<p>You will work hands-on with Azure services, PaaS workloads, Kubernetes, and DevOps toolchains, while also contributing to Power Platform governance and lifecycle enablement. As a technical leader, you’ll collaborate with engineering, security, operations, and business stakeholders to drive platform maturity, automation, scalability, and compliance across our cloud environments.</p>
The Core Responsibilities!
<p><strong>Cloud Platform Engineering & Operations (30%) </strong></p>
<ul>

<p>Design, build, and optimize Azure platform components including App Services, Azure Functions, Key Vaults, and API Management. </p>
</li>
</ul>
<ul>
<li>
<p>Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform or Bicep for scalable and secure resource provisioning. </p>
</li>
</ul>
<ul>
<li>
<p>Implement observability patterns across infrastructure and workloads using tools such as Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, and Application Insights. </p>
</li>
</ul>
<ul>
<li>
<p>Collaborate with architecture, security, and operations teams to ensure platforms meet SLAs, DR/RTO requirements, and compliance expectations. </p>
</li>
</ul>
<p><strong>Power Platform Enablement (30%) </strong></p>
<ul>
<li>
<p>Develop and maintain automation for Power Platform lifecycle management, including ALM pipelines and environment provisioning. </p>
</li>
</ul>
<ul>
<li>
<p>Implement data loss prevention (DLP) policies, app usage reporting, and licensing optimization for Power Platform components. </p>
</li>
</ul>
<ul>
<li>
<p>Collaborate with Governance and Security teams to establish safe, compliant citizen development frameworks. </p>
</li>
</ul>
<ul>
<li>
<p>Provide technical guidance to Power Platform users and support solution acceleration across the organization. </p>
</li>
</ul>
<p><strong>AKS Platform & DevOps Practices (20%) </strong></p>
<ul>
<li>
<p>Design and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions or Azure DevOps to deploy containerized workloads into AKS. </p>
</li>
</ul>
<ul>
<li>
<p>Implement secure AKS architectures, including ingress, autoscaling, monitoring, and security controls. </p>
</li>
</ul>
<ul>
<li>
<p>Enable GitOps patterns and promote modern deployment practices in collaboration with product engineering teams. </p>
</li>
</ul>
<ul>
<li>
<p>Contribute to DevSecOps initiatives and embed security, performance, and resiliency into deployment pipelines. </p>
</li>
</ul>
<p><strong>Platform Process & Maturity Improvements (20%) </strong></p>
<ul>
<li>
<p>Lead initiatives to improve cloud platform operational processes, including incident management, platform health, and self-service enablement. </p>
</li>
</ul>
<ul>
<li>
<p>Define platform engineering standards and reusable blueprints to reduce manual effort and increase team efficiency.</p></li></ul>
