About this role

<p>Markley is New England’s largest and longest operating multi-tenant, mission-critical telecommunication, and data center with facilities in Boston and Lowell MA. Markley Properties is looking to add a highly skilled team member to our Lowell Shipping Team. This person will report directly to the Shipping &amp; Receiving Supervisor and will be responsible to perform all aspects of the job in the facility.</p>

<p>Essential Duties and Responsibilities:&nbsp;<br>Responsibilities include handling of all incoming shipments with proper documentation, scanning new&nbsp;<br>packages, entering package information into the computer system, delivering packages to the proper&nbsp;<br>location, pulling and staging items for outgoing shipments and performing daily rounds as assigned to&nbsp;<br>remove trash/packaging from common areas in the facility. Some work with clients may occur such as&nbsp;<br>tracking packages and coordinating pickups and deliveries.&nbsp;<br>• Perform related duties as assigned by supervisor<br>• Maintain compliance with all company policies and procedures<br>• Responsible for information security by appropriately preserving the Confidentiality, Integrity,&nbsp;<br>and Availability (CIA) of Markley Group information assets in accordance with the company's&nbsp;<br>information security program</p>

<p><br>Qualifications and Skills<br>• Ability to use handheld computer for package tracking &amp; inventory (IntelliTrack PackageTrack&nbsp;<br>knowledge preferable, but not required)<br>• Working knowledge of MS Office – Word, Excel and Outlook<br>• Good verbal and organizational skills<br>• Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines, while maintaining a positive attitude&nbsp;<br>and providing exemplary customer service<br>• Ability to work independently and to carry out assignments to completion within parameters of&nbsp;<br>instructions given, prescribed routines, and standard accepted practices<br>• High school diploma or GED required<br>• Forklift training or certification preferred, but not required<br>• Previous experience working in a data center preferred, but not required</p>

<p><br>Physical Requirements<br>• Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA,&nbsp;<br>FMLA and other federal, state and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or&nbsp;<br>quantitative productivity standards.&nbsp;<br>• Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other&nbsp;<br>federal, state and local standards<br>• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.<br>• Ability to walk considerable distances in the facility during the course of work<br>• Ability to exert force up to a certain number of pounds on a regular basis to move packages on&nbsp;<br>a cart or dolly&nbsp;<br>• Must be able to talk, listen and speak clearly on telephone</p>
