<p>Bay Flats Lodge is seeking a Duck Hunting and Fishing Guide who is looking for an outstanding career opportunity that offers a rewarding work environment on a winning team.&nbsp;We're looking for a professional guide who can assist us with duck hunting and bay fishing. If you just want to duck hunt, but not fish, then that is alright also.<br></p>

<p>Job Description</p>

<p>At Bay Flats Lodge, the successful duck hunting and coastal fishing guide&nbsp;is a&nbsp;professional and licensed waterfowl hunter and saltwater angler who provides knowledge, guidance, and accompanies hunters and anglers during their hunting and fishing adventures while at the lodge. A&nbsp;Bay Flats Lodge guide ensures each guest is attended to in an appropriate manner ensuring consistently high levels of safety, quality, service, and customer satisfaction:</p>

<ul>

<li>Maintain a clean and professional personal appearance at all times.</li>

<li>Greet guests in a professional and friendly manner on&nbsp;a&nbsp;daily&nbsp;basis.</li>

<li>Possess knowledge and use of all types of duck hunting and saltwater fishing equipment, tools, and firearms.</li>

<li>Assist duck hunters and anglers as needed, and ensure safety of all guests at all times.</li>

<li>Know and enforce all state and federal fish and wildlife management practices with guests at all times.</li>

<li>Build, install, clean, paint, repair, and grass duck blinds as needed.</li>

<li>Maintain proper appearance of duck decoys - repair/replace as necessary.</li>

<li>Maintain clean and operable vessel&nbsp;at all times.</li>

<li>Maintain clean and operable fishing equipment at all times.</li>

<li>Operation of personal pickup truck, hunting/fishing boat(s), and firearms per state and federal laws.</li>

<li>Ensure lodge-provided boat lunches&nbsp;and drinking water are secured prior to departure each morning.</li>

<li>Ensure that boat lunch and drinking water containers are returned to the lodge after use on a daily basis.</li>

<li>Provide proper clean up after each trip.</li>

<li>Possess the ability to react quickly during emergencies.</li>

</ul>

<p>Requirements of the Position</p>

<ul>

<li>Must own a shallow water bay boat that operates effectively in the middle Texas coast environment.</li>

<li>Exhibit knowledge and experience of navigating area&nbsp;waters - San Antonio Bay, Espiritu Santo Bay, Mesquite Bay, etc.</li>

<li>Possess knowledge of the various duck and saltwater fish species available along the middle portion of the Texas coast.</li>

<li>Must be very personable - must enjoy working and communicating with guests and lodge staff,&nbsp;maintain a positive&nbsp;attitude, and portray extraordinarily good manners at all times.<br></li>

<li>Experienced with guiding groups of 1-5 hunting and fishing clients.</li>

<li>Must be responsible and accountable - able to show up for scheduled charters without fail.</li>

<li>Possess airboat preferred, or be highly qualified in airboat operation.</li>

<li>Possess all required Federal and State credentials - all must be current and up to date:

<ul>

<li>USCG OUPV License</li>

<li>USCG First-Aid&nbsp;+ CPR Certification</li>

<li>USCG Medical Certificate</li>

<li>TPWD Guide License</li>

<li>TPWD Saltwater Fishing License</li>

<li>Valid State Boat Registration</li>

<li>Drug Consortium Membership</li>

<li>Boat Insurance Policy (Commercial Marine Insurance&nbsp;Binder with minimum $300K liability&nbsp;+ Bay Flats Lodge must be listed as additional insured)</li>

<li>TWIC card</li>

<li>Automobile Driver License</li>
