<p></p><p><strong>Position Overview:</strong>&nbsp;</p>

<p>Beam is&nbsp;seeking&nbsp;a highly talented&nbsp;and motivated&nbsp;engineering or science student&nbsp;interested in&nbsp;a career in biopharmaceutical manufacturing&nbsp;to join our&nbsp;Technical Operations&nbsp;team&nbsp;from&nbsp;January through June 2027&nbsp;as a co-op.&nbsp;&nbsp;The&nbsp;Technical Operations co-op&nbsp;will&nbsp;be responsible for&nbsp;supporting the&nbsp;cross-functional validation&nbsp;teams&nbsp;that&nbsp;demonstrate&nbsp;newly developed&nbsp;gene editing&nbsp;equipment and&nbsp;manufacturing processes&nbsp;work as intended&nbsp;by Beam&nbsp;and&nbsp;as&nbsp;required by&nbsp;government agencies (including&nbsp;FDA) for the&nbsp;benefit of patients.&nbsp;Support&nbsp;activities&nbsp;will include&nbsp;learning about&nbsp;and&nbsp;obtaining&nbsp;scientific/&nbsp;technical information&nbsp;related to manufacturing&nbsp;equipment and&nbsp;processes&nbsp;to ensure&nbsp;integrity of data&nbsp;included in Technical Operations protocols and reports.&nbsp;As a part of these&nbsp;cross-functional&nbsp;teams, the candidate will have the opportunity to&nbsp;interact&nbsp;with&nbsp;various functions involved with supporting&nbsp;the&nbsp;biopharmaceutical manufacturing&nbsp;industry, including R&amp;D&nbsp;(process and analytical development),&nbsp;Manufacturing, Manufacturing Sciences and Technology (MSAT),&nbsp;Quality (both Quality Control and Quality Assurance), Supply Chain, and Procurement&nbsp;to help the candidate explore&nbsp;potential career options in the biopharmaceutical manufacturing industry.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;</p>

<p><strong>Responsibilities:</strong>&nbsp;</p>

<ul>

<li>Develop an understanding of Beam’s gene editing manufacturing equipment, technologies, and processes supporting both hematology and liver programs.</li>

<li>Review and verify technical and scientific data included in risk assessments, protocols, and reports to ensure accuracy, completeness, and data integrity in support of project timelines and milestones.</li>

<li>Communicate findings, recommendations, and any identified issues from verification activities to cross-functional teams through written summaries, presentations, and verbal updates, supporting timely resolution and project milestones.</li>

<li>Support the evaluation and documentation of manufacturing process data, ensuring records are accurate, attributable, legible, and compliant, while identifying potential issues and recommending solutions.&nbsp;</li>

<p><strong>Qualifications:</strong></p>

<ul>

<li>Undergraduate or graduate student pursuing a BS, MS, or PhD in Engineering (Chemical, Biological, Mechanical) or the Biological Sciences (Biochemistry, Biology, Microbiology, Chemistry, or a related field),&nbsp;required.</li>

<li>Experience using Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Visio, and retrieving scientific or technical information from digital sources (e.g., databases and scientific literature), required.</li>

<li>Highly organized and detail-oriented, with strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, required.</li>

<li>Experience with technical writing and developing presentations to summarize and communicate scientific or technical information, preferred.</li>

<li>This role follows a hybrid work schedule and requires onsite attendance 4-5 days per week.</li>

<li>Applicants must be currently enrolled in a degree-granting college or university program and maintain&nbsp;their student status throughout the duration of the internship to be eligible.&nbsp;</li>

</ul><p>Hourly pay will will be determined based on several factors, including but not limited to, relevant experience, skills, and education.</p>Co-op Hourly Pay Range$23—$37 USD
