Volunteer Board Member (CPA) – Brakin Out Inc.

<p>As a board member, you will leverage your expertise in accounting and finance to help guide our financial strategies and ensure the fiscal health of our organization. This is a volunteer position with an estimated commitment of 10 hours per month, including quarterly board meetings and occasional events.</p><p><strong>Key Responsibilities:</strong></p><ul><li><strong>Provide Financial Oversight:</strong>&nbsp;Monitor the financial health of the organization and ensure proper financial controls are in place.</li><li><strong>Advise on Financial Strategy:</strong>&nbsp;Share insights and experience in financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting.</li><li><strong>Support Fundraising Efforts:</strong>&nbsp;Assist in securing resources and building partnerships to sustain and grow our programs.</li><li><strong>Advocate for Our Mission:</strong>&nbsp;Act as an ambassador for Brakin Out Inc., raising awareness and support within the community and professional circles.</li></ul><p>&nbsp;</p>

<ul><li>Proven experience as a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) with a strong understanding of non-profit accounting.</li><li>Excellent financial management, budgeting, and strategic planning skills.</li><li>Strong understanding of the financial challenges and needs of non-profit organizations.</li><li>Commitment to the mission and values of Brakin Out Inc.</li><li>Experience in fundraising, grant writing, or resource development is a plus.</li><li>Previous board experience is a plus but not required.</li><li>Ability to work collaboratively and independently.</li><li>Passionate about making a positive impact on the community.</li></ul>
