<p>We’re looking for a Credit and Receivables Assistant to join our Support Office team in Pukekohe.</p>

<p><br></p>

<p>This is a great opportunity for someone at the beginning of their accounting career who wants to build practical experience in a busy environment. You might be a recent accounting or finance graduate, currently working towards an accounting qualification, or already have some solid accounts experience and be ready for your next step.</p>

<p>You’ll need a good understanding of accounting principles, strong attention to detail and the confidence to communicate with a wide range of people.</p>

<p>What you’ll be doing</p>

<p>Working as part of our finance team, you’ll support the day to day management of our accounts receivable function, including:</p>

<p><br></p>

<ul>

<li>Receipting and allocating customer payments accurately</li>

<li>Assisting with invoicing, including our VIP Care programme</li>

<li>Supporting credit control activities and following up outstanding accounts</li>

<li>Responding to account and payment queries</li>

<li>Working with our clinic teams to investigate and resolve account issues</li>

<li>Communicating with our external clients, from farmers and rural businesses through to companion animal clients</li>

<li>Completing general finance administration and data entry</li>

<li>Maintaining accurate customer and account information</li>

<li>Providing support across the wider finance team as required</li>

<p>What we’re looking for</p>

<p>You don’t need years of accounts receivable or credit control experience, but you do need a strong foundation in accounting and an interest in developing your career in this area.</p>

<p>You could be a great fit if you:</p>

<ul>

<li>Have an accounting or finance qualification, are currently working towards one or have relevant practical accounting experience</li>

<li>Understand core accounting principles and are comfortable working with numbers</li>

<li>Have excellent accuracy and attention to detail</li>

<li>Are confident working with systems and working with financial data</li>

<li>Can communicate professionally and positively, including when following up overdue accounts</li>

<li>Can build good working relationships with both internal and external customers</li>

<li>Are organised, proactive, reliable and able to manage competing priorities</li>
