Equipment Operator, Wet Utilities

<p><strong>Responsibilities:</strong></p>

<ul>

<li>Excavates trenches for water, sanitary sewer, and storm sewer</li>

<li>Installs trench boxes as necessary</li>

<li>Operates equipment in compliance with Muller's safety policies and OSHA procedures</li>

<li>Ensure proper excavation &amp; compaction procedures are performed</li>

<li>Ensures all equipment is maintained by performing daily equipment inspections &amp; grease equipment at required intervals</li>

<li>Demonstrate a working knowledge of underground utilities</li>

<li>Performs other related duties and responsibilities as required to complete the job</li>

<li>Manage quality control and production</li>

<li>Train team members as needed in a hands-on manner</li>

</ul>

<li>Ability to operate large excavators with precision</li>

<p><strong>Physical Requirements:</strong></p>

<ul>

<li>Employee must be physically fit to perform manual labor in all types of environments and conditions, including heavy lifting (up to 50 lbs.).</li>

<li>Regularly required to sit and stand, must be able to use hands to fingers, handle or feel and verbally communicate and listen.</li>

<li>Other physical requirements include walking, climbing or balancing and stooping, kneeling, crouching or crawling.</li>

<li>Specific vision abilities required by the position include distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.</li>
