<p>The System Integration Engineer is responsible for the integration of mechanical, electrical, low-level controls, and high-level software and continuous improvement of the BEUMER Individual Carrier System (ICS). The scope includes the entire ecosystem of the Baggage Handling System (BHS) network, PLC programming, field devices, sensors, motors, and drive systems. This role will support the BEUMER Operations & Maintenance sites in the United States, Canada and Caribbean. </p><p><strong><u>Key Responsibilities:</u></strong></p><ul><li>Support deployment and performance of the Individual Carrier System (CrisBag). </li><li>Serve as the technical subject matter expert for ICS Other Technologies (OT). </li><li>Assist with PLC troubleshooting, programming, testing, and commissioning activities. </li><li>Interface with engineering, hotline and support site teams to troubleshoot and resolve system<strong> </strong>issues. </li><li>Verify documentation related to system changes. </li><li>Validate, test, and deploy firmware. </li><li>Maintain and update controls documentation, backups, and change records. </li><li>Monitor and analyze system performance, reliability, and operational data to identify opportunities for continuous improvement.</li><li>Liaise with new system installation team during commissioning phases to ensure successful integration of controls, software, and field equipment. </li><li>Provide technical guidance and training to senior maintenance technicians and site personnel on controls and system troubleshooting.</li></ul><p><strong>Compensation range:</strong> $135,000.00 - $155,000.00 Annually </p><p><strong>The posted salary range reflects the compensation the company reasonably expects to offer for this position. Actual compensation will not be less than the posted minimum and will be based on multiple factors.</strong></p>
<ul><li>Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, software engineering, mechatronics engineering, or related field. </li><li>5+ years of experience in engineering of baggage handling systems or automated material handling systems at the IT and/or controls level. </li><li>Advanced understanding of industrial automation systems, electrical controls, and troubleshooting. </li><li>Programming of PLC, industrial networking, and field-bus communications. </li><li>Advanced understanding of electrical schematics and controls drawings. </li><li>Must be eligible to obtain and maintain airport security clearance. </li><li>Analytical thinker and problem solver. </li><li>Excellent verbal and written communication skills. </li><li>Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with competing priorities. </li><li>Must follow all safety policies, processes and procedures. </li><li>Ability to travel as per business needs, up to 30-40% estimated.</li></ul><p><strong><u>Work Environment</u></strong></p><ul><li>Operate in a fast-paced airport with exposure to noise and moving machinery. </li><li>Typically, daytime shift Monday through Friday, but may be on call during nights, weekends, and holidays. </li><li>Frequent walking, climbing, bending, heavy lifting, and standing. </li></ul>
