Social Worker (LMSW) - Contractual or Full Time

<p>Provide outpatient clinical services including psycho-social assessments, treatment planning, and discharge/aftercare planning activities and provision of individual, group, or family sessions to be scheduled based on client needs.</p><p><b>Responsibilities</b>&nbsp;</p><ul><li>Performing admission, assessment, and discharge functions.</li><li>Assessing mental health, substance use, and other status of clients.</li><li>Preparing client initial and master treatment plans as appropriate.</li><li>Conducting individual, group and/or family therapy as appropriate.</li><li>Conducting education and training regarding aspects of substance abuse and severe and persistent mental illness.&nbsp;</li><li>Preparing/submitting reports in accordance with state, agency, referral and CARF program requirements.</li><li>Obtaining/monitoring funding authorizations from the state and insurance companies.</li><li>Maintaining professional relationships with referral sources.</li></ul><p>NOTE: This position will be responsible for running some evening groups.</p><p>&nbsp;</p>

<p></p><ul><li>Master’s Social Worker Clinical License required&nbsp;</li><li>Certified Advanced Addictions and Drug (CAADC) credential preferred</li><li>Experience providing Substance Abuse counseling to individuals and groups required</li><li>Experience with CMH population and required documentation and electronic record preferred</li></ul><p>Desired Competencies</p><ul><li>Strong clinical skills and ability to engage in positive therapeutic relationships required. Ability to engage and retain clients</li><li>Ability to handle stressful situations calmly and professionally</li><li>Excellent oral and written communications skills, ability to operate computer equipment</li><li>Knowledge of federal, state, and local laws, regulations, program and services as they relate to the provision of services</li><li>Working knowledge of the system of services needed to address the needs of people with substance abuse issues and the ability to coordinate care between these programs.</li><li>Clinical experience using evidence based practices for Mental Health and Substance abuse including, but not limited to, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Stage of Change theory, and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy</li></ul><p></p>
