<h1>Legal Transcriber</h1>

<p><strong>Remote | Independent Contractor | Federal Contract</strong></p>

<p>eScribers is seeking&nbsp;<strong>30 experienced legal transcribers</strong> to support a federal contract. This is a remote, independent contractor opportunity for reliable professionals with strong transcription, grammar, punctuation, and listening skills.</p>

<h2>Required Qualifications</h2>

<p>To be considered, applicants <strong>must</strong>:</p>

<ul>

<p>Be a U.S. citizen residing in the United States.</p>

</li>

<li>

<p>Possess a REAL ID or current, valid U.S. passport.</p>

</li>

<li>

<p>Be willing to undergo a Public Trust background investigation.</p>

</li>

<li>

<p>Have a Windows-based computer running Windows 10 or later.</p>

</li>

<li>

<p>Have an active, current version of Microsoft Word.</p>

</li>

<li>

<p>Have at least two years of transcription experience.</p>

</li>

<li>

<p>Type at a minimum of 55 words per minute.</p>

</li>

<li>

<p>Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.</p>

</li>

<li>

<p>Demonstrate excellent grammar and punctuation skills.</p>

</li>

<li>

<p>Have exceptional listening and comprehension skills.</p>

</li>

<li>

<p>Commit to transcribing at least 200 audio minutes per week.</p>

</li>

<li>

<p>Maintain consistent access to a reliable, high-speed internet connection.</p>

</li>

<li>

<p>Have a compatible USB foot pedal, such as the Infinity IN-USB-2 or IN-USB-3.</p>

</li>

</ul>

<h2>Compensation and Contractor Details</h2>

<ul>

<li>

<p>Transcribers are paid by the page at competitive rates.</p>

</li>

<li>

<p>This position is classified as an independent contractor opportunity.</p>

</li>

<li>

<p>Contractors are paid weekly by direct deposit after submitting timely invoices.</p>

</li>

<li>

<p>Additional bonus opportunities may be available.</p>

</li>
