<p>DC Kids Elementary Coordinator</p>

<p>Part Time</p>

<p>Work Schedule: Sunday-Tuesday + third Wednesdays (DC Family Night)</p>

<p>Location: Disciples Church – Tinley Park, IL</p>

<p>Disciples Church is seeking an organized, dependable, and ministry-minded DC Kids&nbsp;Elementary Coordinator to help lead engaging, safe, and well-prepared ministry&nbsp;experiences for elementary-age children.</p>

<p><br></p>

<p>Working under the direction of the DC Kids Director, this role provides hands-on&nbsp;leadership for the Elementary ministry, including weekly programming, volunteer&nbsp;development, curriculum preparation, classroom environments, and ministry</p>

<p>administration.</p>

<p>Key Responsibilities</p>

<p>• Lead the day-to-day execution of the DC Kids Elementary ministry under the&nbsp;direction of the DC Kids Director</p>

<p>• Coordinate Elementary programming and ministry environments for Sunday&nbsp;services, Family Night, and other DC Kids events</p>

<p>• Recruit, onboard, train, schedule, support, and develop Elementary volunteers</p>

<p>• Build relationships with volunteers, parents, and church members to help identify and recruit new team members</p>

<p>• Ensure prospective volunteers complete required onboarding steps, including&nbsp;Growth Track, orientation, and ministry-specific training</p>

<p>• Communicate schedules, service details, expectations, and ministry updates to the&nbsp;Elementary team</p>

<p>• Provide ongoing leadership and support to volunteers, escalating significant&nbsp;concerns to the DC Kids Director as appropriate</p>

<p>• Prepare, adapt, and organize curriculum, lesson materials, activities, crafts, worship&nbsp;content, and supplies for weekly programming</p>

<p>• Ensure Elementary classrooms and ministry spaces are clean, organized, stocked,&nbsp;welcoming, and ready for children and volunteers</p>

<p>• Execute Elementary programming for special DC Kids initiatives and events based&nbsp;on the direction of the DC Kids Director</p>

<p>• Complete weekly service reports and assist with ministry-related administrative&nbsp;needs, including ordering supplies, preparing materials, organizing resources, and&nbsp;responding to communication</p>

<p>• Stay knowledgeable about churchwide programs, events, policies, procedures, and&nbsp;priorities</p>

<p>• Be prepared to teach, assist in a classroom, support check-in/registration, or serve&nbsp;in another DC Kids area when needed</p>

<p>• Provide appropriate leadership for Elementary ministry needs when the DC Kids&nbsp;Director is unavailable</p>

<p>• Work collaboratively with the DC Kids Director, Primary Coordinator, and other&nbsp;staff to support a consistent and excellent DC Kids experience</p>

<p>Qualifications &amp; Skills</p>

<p>• Passion for helping children know Jesus and grow in their faith</p>

<p>• Experience serving or working with children, preferably in a church, ministry,&nbsp;school, or similar environment</p>

<p>• Experience leading, coordinating, or supporting volunteers</p>

<p>• Organized, dependable, positive, flexible, and solution-oriented</p>

<p>• Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills</p>

<p>• Comfortable building relationships with children, parents, volunteers, and staff</p>

<p>• Able to work independently while functioning well as part of a team</p>

<p>• Professional, trustworthy, receptive to feedback, and able to handle conflict with&nbsp;maturity</p>

<p>• Willing to step into different ministry responsibilities when needed</p>

<p>Preferred Skills</p>

<p>• Previous children’s ministry experience</p>

<p>• Experience recruiting, onboarding, training, or scheduling volunteers</p>

<p>• Experience with Planning Center or similar church management software</p>

<p>• Familiarity with ProPresenter, Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, Canva, or&nbsp;similar tools</p>

<p>• Experience preparing or adapting children’s ministry curriculum</p>
