About this role

<p>AQ Technology Partners is a boutique investment bank focused on the software ecosystem, specializing in M&amp;A and financial sponsor transactions.</p>

<p>We are seeking an experienced Investment Banking Associate to join our team supporting transactions with growth software companies based in our Redwood City, CA office. Both investment banking&nbsp;<u>and</u>&nbsp;technology industry experience required.</p>

<p>Our Associates assume significant responsibility by working closely with senior bankers, overseeing and executing day-to-day deal activities, and managing and training analysts. Key responsibilities include the following:</p>

<ul>

<li>Partner with and support senior bankers in strategic M&amp;A, private equity, and growth equity processes</li>

<li>Initiate and manage the development of qualitative and quantitative analyses in support of transaction execution</li>

<li>Responsible for modeling complex transaction scenarios and/or the oversight of such modeling</li>

<li>Develop presentations in support of new business development</li>

<li>Maintain a positive and supportive firm culture, focused on the effective delivery of world-class service to our clients</li>

<li>Train and mentor analyst staff</li>

</ul>

<p>A successful candidate will possess the following characteristics:</p>

<ul>

<li>2-3 years investment banking experience as an analyst and/or an associate in the technology or software sector</li>

<li>Strong academic performance</li>

<li>Demonstrated capability to lead and manage projects</li>

<li>Excellent organizational, execution and time management skills</li>

<li>Team player with competitive drive; motivated self-starter with collaborative, team-oriented approach to success</li>

<li>Strong communication and presentation skills in both large and small group settings</li>

<li>Exceptional critical thinking and problem solving ability</li>

<li>U.S. work authorization</li>

<li>FINRA Series 63 and 79 registration</li>
