<p><strong>Summary:</strong>&nbsp;We are seeking a dedicated and empathetic educator to provide personalized 1-on-1 instruction to students with ADHD and autism, as well as mentor neurotypical middle school students. This role is vital in fostering a supportive learning environment and promoting academic and personal growth.</p>

<p><strong>Responsibilities:</strong></p>

<ul>

<li>Deliver individualized educational sessions to students with ADHD and autism.</li>

<li>Mentor and support neurotypical middle school students in their academic and personal development.</li>

<li>Develop and implement tailored lesson plans that accommodate diverse learning needs and styles.</li>

<li>Monitor and assess student progress, providing feedback and adjusting strategies as necessary.</li>

<li>Collaborate with parents, teachers, and specialists to ensure cohesive support for each student's educational journey.</li>

<li>Create a positive and inclusive classroom atmosphere that encourages student engagement and participation.</li>

</ul>

<p><strong>Required Skills:</strong></p>

<ul>

<li>Bachelor's degree in Education, Special Education, or a related field.</li>

<li>Experience working with students with ADHD and autism.</li>

<li>Strong mentoring and interpersonal skills with a passion for working with middle school students.</li>

<li>Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.</li>

<li>Ability to develop and adapt teaching strategies to meet individual student needs.</li>

<li>Patience, empathy, and a commitment to fostering an inclusive learning environment.</li>

</ul>

<p>We require a commitment of at least 15 hours/week for the full school year. A full time role may also be available for a qualified candidate. $33-$40/hour&nbsp;</p>

<p>AJ Tutoring and Cypress College Prep are sister organizations that share space in downtown Menlo Park. AJ offers 1-on-1 tutoring to middle and high schoolers after school, while Cypress offers a fully accredited school during regular school hours.&nbsp;</p>
