Treasurer (Voluntary)

<p>We've been successful in securing funding from Forestry Commission, Tree Council and other grant-making organisations, and are soon to launch a crowd-funder.&nbsp; Our finances are becoming&nbsp;more complicated, and although we're well supported by an accountancy firm, we also require a Treasurer.&nbsp; You will have an opportunity to help us increase our impact as well as provide financial stability.</p><p>You will become one of the (unpaid) Trustees and through&nbsp;working closely with the Management Committee, you will strengthen our governance by ensuring proper financial policies and procedures are in place.&nbsp;&nbsp;</p><p>You will also have the opportunity to help us drive the project forward and contribute to building our revenue and funding opportunities.</p><p>&nbsp;</p>

<p>You will have a strong understanding of finance and accounting principles, particularly in the context of a small charity.&nbsp; You may hold accountancy qualifications and/or have experience of running your own business.</p><p>You will have good strategic planning and organisational skills, be friendly, flexible and a team-player.&nbsp;&nbsp;We are looking for a confident and dynamic individual who is not afraid of&nbsp;a challenge.&nbsp;A knowledge of trees is not required, but a passion for nature and the environment will help.</p>
