<p>Job Title: Senior IT and Security Administrator </p>
<p>Department: IT / Engineering</p>
<p>Role Overview</p>
<p>This is a full time hands-on technical role focused on the implementation and maintenance of the organization’s IT and security architecture. You will act as a primary technical resource responsible for administrating and executing the company IT and Security strategy, managing IT assets, and facilitating secure staff transitions.</p>

<p>Key Responsibilities</p>

<p>1. Implementation & Maintenance of IT Architecture</p>
<p>Design, implement, and maintain robust and scalable network infrastructure, including LAN, WAN, Wi-Fi, and VPN services, to support business operations.</p>
<p>Configure, install, and troubleshoot network devices such as routers, switches, wireless access points, and firewalls.</p>
<p>Monitor, maintain and upgrade company servers and systems in hardware, virtual and cloud based environments.</p>
<p>Installation and Administration of Linux-based systems and software/services</p>

<p>2.Operational Security & Monitoring</p>
<p>Lead the technical deployment and management of security tools, including Intrusion Detection/Prevention Systems (IDPS), antivirus/anti-malware solutions, and SIEM platforms.</p>
<p>Monitor network performance to identify bottlenecks and implement technical solutions that optimize efficiency and reliability.</p>
<p>Perform regular risk assessments, vulnerability management, and penetration testing to identify and mitigate technical risks.</p>
<p>Implement and manage security access control and identity management systems to ensure least-privilege access is maintained throughout the employee lifecycle.</p>

<p>3.Asset Management & Staff Operations</p>
<p>Maintain accurate tracking and inventory documentation for all IT hardware and software assets, ensuring the registry is up-to-date and compliant with security policies.</p>
<p>Manage the technical onboarding and offboarding processes for staff, ensuring timely and secure provisioning of hardware and access rights, as well as the secure de-provisioning and retrieval of assets for departing employees.</p>

<p>4.Incident Response & Support</p>
<p>Participate in the investigation and resolution of security incidents as part of the wider incident response plan.</p>
<p>Provide technical mentorship to junior staff and handle escalated troubleshooting requests.</p>
<p>Ensuring ongoing archiving of relevant logs and artefacts for future investigate.</p>
<p>Support of other departments as required, e.g. deployment of off-site pop-up networks for the marketing department during demos and events</p>

<p>Qualifications & Skills</p>
<p>Experience: 5–8 years of IT experience with a strong focus on network implementation and technical security.</p>
<p>Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering ,Information Technology, or Cybersecurity.</p>
<p>Technical Proficiency:</p>
<ul>
<li>Extensive experience with network protocols (TCP/IP, VLANs, routing).</li>
<li>Extensive Linux knowledge.</li>
<li>Experience with Virtualised Environments (VMWare, Openshift, Kubernetes, Docker)</li>
<li>Hands-on experience with EDR tools and cloud security environments (AWS, Azure) desirable</li>
</ul>

<p>Certifications: </p>
<p>Comp TIA Linux+ (or similar), CCNP (Cisco Certified Network Professional), CompTIA Network+, or CompTIA Security+ desirable.</p>
