<p>Purpose</p>

<p>The <em>Concrete Carpenter</em> position is responsible for detailed, quality, consistent, and safe assignments in their designated specialty. This role is based in Indianapolis, IN. LPX Group headquarters is in Louisville, KY. </p>

<p>Job Responsibilities</p>
<ul>
<li>Perform work to the standards established for the Concrete Carpentry trade.</li>
<li>Read and interpret plans, schematics, and drawings. Perform work according to the specifics required in these documents.</li>
<li>Effectively and safely use the right trade tools for the projects assigned.</li>
<li>Utilize tools and research required by trade to accomplish quality and timely work assignments.</li>
<li>Continuously investigate methods and means to improve the cost effectiveness and quality of work within the trade.</li>
<li>Provide guidance to unskilled labor to ensure safety and professional project completion.</li>
<li>Analyze projects by working closely with the Foreman in identifying potential issues that may arise prior to quoting and at project take-off.</li>
<li>Work closely with other trades where projects require simultaneous and overlapping trade work.</li>
<li>Perform all work according to safety standards and promote safety on all job sites.</li>
</ul>

<p>Education and Experience </p>
<ul>
<li>AS in Construction Trade or equivalent trade certification from an accredited program preferred.</li>
<li>3+ years of hands-on trade experience in flatwork.</li>
</ul>

<p>Skills and Specifications </p>
<ul>
<li>Knowledgeable with grades and ADA requirements.</li>
<li>Ability to bend, crouch and stand for long periods of time.</li>
<li>Strong knowledge and experience interpreting drawings/project specifications.</li>
<li>Experience at efficiently and safely operating trade tools and equipment.</li>
<li>Strong communication and collaboration skills. Experience working effectively in a team environment.</li>
