<p><u>Reports to:</u> Project Manager or Assistant Project Manager (George J. Igel & Co., Inc.)</p>
<p><u>FLSA Status</u><u>:</u> Non-Exempt</p>
<p><u>Hours</u>: 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. (One (1) Hour Lunch); 40-45 hours per week</p>
<p><u>Job Location:</u> 3500 Alum Creek Drive, Columbus, OH 43207, and various job sites as assigned</p>

<p><u>General Overview: </u><br>The Project Intern supports Project Management teams by assisting with documentation, quantity tracking, subcontract and purchase order administration, and other key project coordination tasks. This internship provides hands-on exposure to construction project management, helping students build practical skills and prepare for future careers in the industry. This person should consistently demonstrate Integrity, Gratitude, Excellence, and Leadership.</p>

<p><u>Eligibility</u><u>:</u> This internship opportunity is open to students who are currently enrolled in an undergraduate program (two or four-year). Candidates who have completed or are enrolled in graduate-level programs (e.g., master’s, PhD, JD, MD) will not be considered, as this role is designed to support undergraduate-level career development.</p>

<p><u>Responsibilities:</u></p>
<ul>
<li>Tracks project quantities</li>
<li>Collects, organizes, and maintains project documents</li>
<li>Gains an understanding of pay items</li>
<li>Understands and communicates production rates and crew makeup of activities as a bid</li>
<li>Submits RFIs</li>
<li>Administers subcontracts</li>
<li>Administers purchase orders</li>
<li>Submits shop drawings</li>
<li>Proposes priced changes</li>
<li>Submits and logs submittals</li>
<li>Maintains and updates project plans</li>
<li>Tracks and submits extra work items</li>
<li>Submits closeout documents</li>
<li>Learns and adheres to all Company policies and procedures</li>
<li>Other duties as assigned</li>

<p><u>Qualifications:</u></p>
<ul>
<li>Currently enrolled in a (2) two or (4) four-year undergraduate degree program;</li>
<li>Must successfully pass a pre-employment drug screening. (George J. Igel & Co., Inc. is a BWC Drug-Free Workplace and tests for marijuana)</li>
<li>Must be at least 18 years old</li>
<li>Must have a Motor Vehicle Record that satisfies the Company’s insurance requirements</li>
</ul>

<p><u>Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:</u></p>
<ul>
<li>Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and proper grammar, spelling, and punctuation</li>
<li>Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing, including public speaking</li>
<li>Ability to read, comprehend, and accurately interpret written materials</li>
<li>Ability to remain highly organized, detail-oriented, and accurate while managing responsibilities</li>
<li>Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team</li>
<li>Ability to travel daily to and from the primary workplace and occasionally to off-site locations, including job sites</li>
