Employer: Amazon.com Services LLC<br>Position: Industrial Designer III - AMZ14680.12<br>Location: Bellevue, WA<br><br>Multiple Positions Available:<br><br>1. Drive standardization, documentation of core design and process<br>elements for scalable network growth across North America Logistics<br>using strong process management and Lean principles<br>2. Plan and design systems that increase critical-to-quality (CTQ)<br>business needs by improving integration of people, materials,<br>equipment, software, and finance<br>3. Redesign effort for the inbound and outbound processes, evaluate the<br>ergonomic needs and issues for shipping clerk workstations, or<br>conduct a capacity planning and analysis study for peak season<br>4. Assess and optimize the processes and equipment used in the<br>Delivery Station<br>5. Recommend and implement changes to safety procedures, work<br>methods, and labor standards<br>6. Determine root causes of "defects" in performance through deep dive<br>data analysis and decomposition and process observation<br>7. Successfully manage, execute, measure and communicate the impact<br>of the projects in partnership with the site leaders responsible for day<br>to day operations<br>8. Coordinate with Tech/Software teams, driving the operational<br>execution of software enhancements<br>9. Collaborate with counterparts in other operations functional areas such<br>as Safety, Quality, Learning, Loss Prevention, Amazon Customer<br>Excellence System (ACES) Continuous Improvement, Launch,<br>Finance, and Volume Planning<br>10. Interface with other functional areas as required (Supply Chain,<br>Operations Integration, Transportation, Sort Centers, Fulfillment<br>Centers, Site Launch, Procurement, etc.) in support of network<br>initiatives.<br>11. Master's degree or foreign equivalent degree in Engineering, Operations Management or a related discipline and 5 years of experience in the job offered or a related occupation. In the<br>alternative, employer will accept a Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent degree in Engineering, Operations Management or a related discipline followed by 7 years of progressively<br>responsible postbaccalaureate experience in the job offered or a related occupation.<br>Experience must include:<br>1) 2 years of experience in using Six Sigma tools & Lean practices.<br>2) 2 years of experience performing root cause analysis using various techniques.<br>3) 2 years of experience in using Minitab or JMP.<br>4) 2 years of experience in using MS Excel & Visio<br>5) 2 years of experience in conducting investigations to identify process flow bottlenecks and reduce production cycle times.<br>6) 2 years in project management.<br>7) 2 years of experience in developing technical SOP documentation, standards, critical to quality specifications and metrics for process improvements<br><br>The pay range for this position in Bellevue, WA is $153858 - $178800 (yr); however, base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. A sign-on bonus and restricted stock units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the position offered.
