<h2><br><b>Company:</b></h2>Qualcomm Israel Ltd.<p></p><h2><b>Job Area:</b></h2>Engineering Group, Engineering Group &gt; Modem Technologies<p></p><p><u><b>General Summary:</b></u></p><p></p><p><b>Position Overview</b></p><p></p><p>We are seeking an experienced&nbsp;<b>Senior Software Architect</b>&nbsp;to lead the design and development of advanced embedded software systems across&nbsp;<b>Linux (kernel and user space), DSP, and wireless communication technologies (Wi-Fi, 5G/6G)</b>.</p><p>The ideal candidate combines deep low-level expertise with system-level thinking, and has hands-on experience in&nbsp;<b>high-performance networking</b>.</p><p><b>Key Responsibilities</b></p><ul><li><p>Architect and design&nbsp;<b>end-to-end embedded software solutions</b>&nbsp;for complex systems.</p></li><li><p>Lead development across&nbsp;<b>Linux kernel and user space</b>, including driver development and system optimization.</p></li><li><p>Define and implement&nbsp;<b>real-time and high-performance DSP algorithms</b>.</p></li><li><p>Design and optimize&nbsp;<b>wireless communication stacks</b>, including&nbsp;<b>Wi-Fi and 5G/6G technologies</b>.</p></li><li><p>Drive architecture for&nbsp;<b>networking protocols and performance optimization</b>.</p></li><li><p>Integrate and optimize&nbsp;<b>AI/ML algorithms</b>&nbsp;for&nbsp;<b>training and inference</b>&nbsp;in resource-constrained embedded environments.</p></li><li><p>Collaborate with cross-functional teams (hardware, RF, system, and product teams).</p></li><li><p>Provide&nbsp;<b>technical leadership, mentorship, and code reviews</b>.</p></li><li><p>Ensure software scalability, performance, reliability, and maintainability.</p></li><li><p>Stay updated with emerging technologies and drive innovation into the product roadmap.</p></li></ul><p><b>Required Qualifications</b></p><ul><li><p><b>5+ years of experience</b>&nbsp;in embedded software development or architecture.</p></li><li><p>Solid background in&nbsp;<b>DSP (Digital Signal Processing)</b>.</p></li><li><p>Hands-on experience in&nbsp;<b>wireless communications</b>, including:</p><ul><li><p>Wi-Fi (802.11 standards)</p></li><li><p>5G/6G or cellular communication systems</p></li></ul></li><li><p>Proficiency in programming languages:</p><ul><li><p><b>C, C++ (mandatory)</b></p></li><li><p><b>Assembly (for low-level optimization)</b></p></li><li><p><b>Python (for scripting, automation, AI workflows)</b></p></li></ul></li></ul><p><b>Preferred Qualifications</b></p><ul><li><p>Experience with&nbsp;<b>real-time operating systems (RTOS)</b>&nbsp;or low-latency Linux tuning.</p></li><li><p>Familiarity with&nbsp;<b>hardware acceleration</b>.</p></li><li><p>Experience in&nbsp;<b>modem, PHY/MAC layer development</b>.</p></li><li><p>Background in&nbsp;<b>performance analysis, profiling, and optimization tools</b>.</p></li><li><p>Experience working in&nbsp;<b>distributed systems</b>.</p></li></ul><p><b>Soft Skills</b></p><ul><li><p>Strong system-level thinking and problem-solving skills.</p></li><li><p>Excellent communication and technical leadership abilities.</p></li><li><p>Ability to work in a fast-paced, multidisciplinary environment.</p></li><li><p>Strong ownership and accountability.</p></li></ul><p><b>Education</b></p><ul><li><p>Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in&nbsp;<b>Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field</b>.</p></li></ul><p></p><p></p><p></p><p></p><p><u><b>Minimum Qualifications:</b></u></p>•&nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp;Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field and 2+ years of Software Engineering, Hardware Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering, or related work experience.<br> OR<br>Master's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field and 1+ year of Software Engineering, Hardware Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering, or related work experience.<br> OR<br>PhD in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field.<p></p><p></p><p></p><p></p><p></p><p></p><p>*References to a particular number of years experience are for indicative purposes only.
