<p>Responsibilities </p>
<ul>
<li>Diagnose and repair diesel engines, hydraulic systems, electrical systems, air brake systems, transmissions, and drivetrain components.</li>
<li>Perform inspections and preventative maintenance on fleet vehicles (vans, box trucks, heavy-duty trucks, trenchers, loaders, etc.).</li>
<li>Use diagnostic software and tools to troubleshoot advanced engine codes and mechanical issues.</li>
<li>Complete work orders and maintenance logs with accuracy and timeliness.</li>
<li>Ensure compliance with DOT, OSHA, and safety guidelines during all service operations.</li>
<li>Recommend and prioritize major repairs and replacements.</li>
<li>Train, supervise, and support junior mechanics and shop assistants as needed.</li>
<li>Communicate clearly with operations and dispatch regarding vehicle readiness and repair timelines.</li>
<li>Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.</li>

<p>Required qualifications:</p>
<ul>
<li>High school diploma or GED required; technical school certification preferred.</li>
<li>Minimum of 5+ years of experience working on diesel engines, with increasing levels of responsibility.</li>
<li>ASE Diesel Certifications highly preferred.</li>
<li>Valid driver’s license (CDL a plus but not required).</li>
<li>Strong knowledge of diagnostic tools and equipment (Cummins Insite, CAT ET, Allison DOC, etc.).</li>
<li>Ability to read and interpret schematics, repair manuals, and service bulletins.</li>
<li>Familiarity with DOT, EPA, and OSHA regulations.</li>
<li>Basic welding and fabrication skills a plus.</li>
