<p><strong>A Day in the Life:</strong></p><p>Here in the Aerospace Capital of America,</p><p>Palmdale, California, you will find yourself working on some of the most exciting programs within the company. You will work with a team of NDT Inspectors, certified in all NDI disciplines. Your specialized expertise will aid us in continuing the Skunk tradition in forging ahead. On any given day, you may:</p><p>• Set up and operate various types of computerized and state-of-the-art nondestructive test equipment</p><p>• Work in multiple NDI disciplines</p><p>• Participate in hands-on training and development of NDI techniques</p><p>Depending on assigned area, physical demands will vary by platform being supported. Candidates need to be able to support the following:</p><p>Full-time standing with limited resting periods. Ability to walk up to 3 miles in a day. Sit for extended periods, if required. Heights: Able to work at heights. Able to climb stairs or ladders as required. Able to work from step stools, scissor lifts, lift platforms and aircraft structure without handrails.</p><p>Overhead work: Able to work overhead as required.</p><p>Weight restriction: Able to lift/push/pull/carry a minimum of 30 lbs.</p><p>Body positioning: Able to twist/bend (neck or waist) and stoop. Able to work in awkward positions as required. Able to squat/kneel/crawl/reach as required.</p><p>Attendance: Regular attendance required based on set schedule.</p><p> </p><p><strong>**Work Schedule:</strong> 4X10A - 4 10 hr days Mon-Thurs; Fr/Sa/Su off </p><h2>Basic Qualifications</h2>
<p><strong>Basic Qualifications:</strong></p><p>Minimum of 5 years Non-Destructive Inspection Testing experience,<br><strong><br>Documented</strong> previous NAS-410 Level II Training and OJT in four or more Certifications to include the following;</p><p> </p><p>Ultrasonic (UT) </p><p>Penetrant (PT) </p><p>Magnetic Particle (MT)</p><p>Eddy Current (ET)</p><p>Radiography (RT)</p><p>Shearography (ST) </p><p>Thermography (IRT)</p><p><br>Must be certified in Ultrasonic (UT), Penetrant (PT) and any other method. <br><br>Must have a Secret clearance to start. </p><h2>Desired Skills</h2>
<p> </p><p>Aerospace Experience.</p><p>Ability to conduct OJT for trainees.</p><p>Penetrant and Magnetic Particle experience in an aerospace setting.</p><p>Ability to develop written techniques and procedures for approval by an NDT Level III.</p><p>Experience in robotic operated NDI equipment preferred.</p><p>Experience in NDI testing various materials such as: Composite Structures, Metallics, Bonded Assemblies, and Welds.</p><p>Experience with Microsoft Office applications: PowerPoint, Excel, Word, and computerized workstations.</p><p>GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing)</p><p>Must be able to demonstrate and pass general, specific, and practical examinations in above mentioned methods.</p><p>Must have experience in interpreting engineering drawings and specifications. </p><p><strong>Pay Information </strong></p><ul><li>$32.01 - $54.49</li></ul><p>At Lockheed Martin, we know mission success starts with taking care of our people.
