College/University Internship - Advancement

<p>AYA Advancement Intern&nbsp;</p>

<p>Hours: 15-20, Hybrid Optional</p>

<p><br>AYA’s Advancement Intern will be a vital part of the Advancement team! This role provides hands-on experience in nonprofit development while assisting with donor stewardship, community engagement, and social media.&nbsp;</p>

<p><br>Job Description:&nbsp;</p>

<p><br>Social Media (5 hours)</p>

<ul>

<li>Social Media Management with support from Advancement Team (5 hours)</li>

<li>Help communicate AYA's mission, values, and impact to supporters and the broader community.</li>

</ul>

<p><br>Donor Stewardship and In-Kind Donations (5-10 hours)</p>

<ul>

<li>Donor Data Management

<ul>

<li>Clean up donor database</li>

</ul>

</li>

<li>Support with Gratitude process

<ul>

<li>Writing gratitude notes for donors, volunteers, etc</li>

<li>Assisting with the creation of new gratitude ideas!&nbsp;</li>

</ul>

</li>

<li>In-Kind Donations - Reaching out to local businesses/large bulk options!

<ul>

<li>Basic needs, housing needs, etc</li>

<li>Meal Coordination&nbsp;</li>

</ul>

</li>

<li>Year-End Holiday Gift Campaign&nbsp;

<ul>

<li>Tree Tag Creation&nbsp;</li>

<li>Connecting with local businesses for tree tag locations&nbsp;</li>

</ul>

</li>

</ul>

<p><br>Community Engagement and Volunteer Support (5 hours)</p>

<li>Tours</li>

<li>Event Support as needed.&nbsp;

<ul>

<li>Coming Home preparation - Silent Auction!&nbsp;</li>

</ul>

</li>

<li>Group Volunteer day of support&nbsp;

<ul>

<li>Assist with corporate volunteer group activities</li>

</ul>

</li>

</ul>

<p><br>Experience Needed:&nbsp;</p>

<ul>

<li>Graphic Design for Social Media&nbsp;</li>

<li>Current college student or recent graduate in nonprofit management, communications, marketing, public relations, business, or a related field.</li>

<li>Strong written and verbal communication skills.</li>

<li>Experience with event planning or volunteer coordination.</li>

<li>Familiarity with donor databases or CRM systems (Bloomerang)</li>

<li>Interest in fundraising, nonprofit leadership, and community engagement.</li>

</ul>
