<p><u>JOB SUMMARY</u><u>:</u>&nbsp;</p>

<p>&nbsp;</p>

<p>The&nbsp;Field&nbsp;Engineer&nbsp;position&nbsp;will&nbsp;provide effective&nbsp;and efficient&nbsp;support to the project’s field&nbsp;management&nbsp;team in document control, change management, record keeping, scheduling, quality control, safety, and stormwater management.&nbsp;He/she&nbsp;will support the Superintendent and field staff in maintaining building control and quality control throughout the project construction&nbsp;process. The&nbsp;Field Engineer will coordinate with the Superintendent and Project Management team for all material deliveries, verifying schedule of deliverables and accuracy of material deliveries. They will have&nbsp;direct authority over all trade partners and JHL craft regarding Safety and Quality, along with coordinating with the Superintendent on all decisions related to or direction regarding subcontractors.&nbsp;</p>

<p><u>REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS</u><u>:</u>&nbsp;</p>

<p>Core Duties / Responsibilities:<br>&nbsp;</p>

<ul>

<li>Maintain thorough understanding of contract documents, inclusive of all changes during pre-construction and construction&nbsp;</li>

<li>Define and implement procedures for posting revisions and updates to as-built construction documents inclusive of subcontractor and field as-built red-lines&nbsp;</li>

<li>Develop and maintain document control logs – submittals, RFI, ASI, change management, etc.&nbsp;</li>

<li>Assist in interpretation of drawings and specifications for field crews and craft supervision.&nbsp;</li>

</ul>

<ul>

<li>Thoroughly review submittals against the contract documents&nbsp;</li>

<li>Prepare, review, and distribute RFI’s.&nbsp; Review subcontractor RFI’s in advance of sending to design team to verify question is not addressed in the contract documents&nbsp;</li>

<li>Assist with project closeout - obtain warranties and O&amp;M manuals required for final acceptance&nbsp;</li>

<li>Perform quantity calculations by taking measurements and determining percentage of completed/installed materials and work&nbsp;</li>

<li>Assist in compiling, processing, and confirming daily labor timesheets&nbsp;<br></li>

</ul>

<ul>

<li>Develop and maintain: Material Tracking List, Project Test/Special Inspection and Inspection Log, Concrete Placement Log, Non-Conformance Report&nbsp;&nbsp;</li>

<li>Prepare meeting minutes for job coordination and subcontractor meetings.&nbsp; Attend and distribute minutes for both OAC meetings and subcontractor coordination&nbsp;&nbsp;<br></li>

<li>Collect and electronically file project progress photos weekly.&nbsp; Ensure photos taken by Superintendent are saved to Project Management file on JHL network</li>

<li>Order and schedule material deliveries as directed by Superintendent&nbsp;</li>

<li>Work with Project Manager, Project Engineer, and Superintendent to monitor procurement schedule and prioritize submittal and procurement needs consistent with project schedule&nbsp;</li>

<li>Assist with short interval schedule management with Scheduler, Superintendent &amp; Project Manager input&nbsp;&nbsp;</li>

<li>Create supplemental schedules for material deliveries, subcontractors, etc. and direct subcontractors to meet delivery dates &amp; task schedules&nbsp;</li>

<li>Assist in field work layout support including control points, horizontal and vertical control, and compilation of as-built data to design data&nbsp;</li>

<li>Resolve field construction issues with input from Project Manager and Superintendent&nbsp;&nbsp;</li>

<li>Thorough understanding of each subcontractor’s obligations under their respective subcontract&nbsp;&nbsp;</li>

</ul>

<ul>

<li>Assist with subcontractor pre-construction coordination meetings and documentation&nbsp;<br>&nbsp;</li>

<li>Assist in the preparation of Job Hazard Analysis (JHA’s)&nbsp;</li>

<li>Assist with jobsite safety and storm water compliance documentation and policy implementation.&nbsp;<br></li>

<p>Education / Experience:&nbsp;&nbsp;</p>

<ul>

<li>Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management,&nbsp;Civil, Mechanical, or Environmental Engineering&nbsp;or minimum two (2) years&nbsp;of experience&nbsp;in&nbsp;the&nbsp;civil&nbsp;construction industry.&nbsp;</li>

</ul>

<ul>

<li>Maintain OSHA 30 (minimum) and recommended refresher training.&nbsp;</li>

<li>Obtain as required - project specific and equipment operation safety training.&nbsp;</li>

</ul>

<ul>

<li>Attend training for operational software as needed to stay current.&nbsp;</li>

<li>Seek training from Superintendents and/or PMs on all areas of self-assessed or assessed opportunities for improvement.&nbsp;</li>

</ul>
