Junior Partner - M&A Advisor

<p><strong>FE International</strong> is seeking experienced M&amp;A professionals to join as <strong>independent contractors (1099) at a Junior Partner level</strong>. As a Junior Partner, you will operate with a high degree of autonomy while benefiting from centralized deal support, marketing, legal, and buyer outreach teams. You’ll bring deep relationships across private equity, venture capital, family offices, and strategic buyers, and will lead transactions end-to-end with full control over your client relationships and compensation structure.&nbsp;</p>

<p><strong>This is a commission-only position with no base salary - you earn based solely on the revenue you generate from closed deals.</strong></p>

<p><strong>Compensation Structure:</strong></p>

<ul>

<li>100% commission-based (no base salary)</li>

<li>Self-sourced deals (from your own network) earn a higher commission tier -&nbsp;this applies from day one and continues for as long as&nbsp;you're&nbsp;sourcing your own deals</li>

<li>Your first 90 days are focused on origination; after that,&nbsp;you'll&nbsp;also become eligible for FE-provided leads, which pay a lower commission tier&nbsp;&nbsp;</li>

<p><strong>Your Role as a Strategic Partner:</strong>&nbsp;</p>

<ul>

<li><strong>Business Origination:</strong> Source new clients and deal flow from your network, targeting founder-led companies, institutional investors, family offices, and corporate sellers primarily in software, e-commerce, and technology.&nbsp;</li>

</ul>

<ul>

<li><strong>Transaction Leadership:</strong> Lead execution of buy-side, sell-side, and capital raise mandates including valuation, strategic positioning, negotiations, due diligence coordination, and closing.&nbsp;</li>

</ul>

<ul>

<li><strong>Client Advisory:</strong> Act as the client’s lead strategic advisor, helping define exit strategies, capital structuring, and positioning for acquirers and investors.&nbsp;</li>

</ul>

<ul>

<li><strong>Collaborative Execution:</strong> Work independently alongside FE International’s internal teams (marketing, financial analysis, CRM, buyer development, and legal) to deliver best-in-class outcomes.&nbsp;</li>

</ul>

<ul>

<li><strong>Platform Contribution:</strong> Participate in firm growth initiatives, knowledge sharing, and help elevate the Firm’s reputation and standards.&nbsp;</li>

</ul>

<p><strong>Ideal Background:</strong>&nbsp;</p>

<ul>

<li>5+ years of experience in investment banking, corporate development, private equity, or M&amp;A advisory.&nbsp;</li>

<li>Proven track record of originating and closing deals</li>

<li>Existing network of potential clients (founders, PE firms, family offices, corporate buyers)</li>

<li>Experience in software, e-commerce, or technology sectors preferred</li>

<li>A self-sufficient, entrepreneurial mindset and comfort with commission-based, results-driven work&nbsp;</li>

<p><strong>What a Typical Ramp Looks Like:</strong>&nbsp;</p>

<p>&nbsp;Most successful Junior Partners follow a similar trajectory in their first 90 days. This is a general guide, not a mandated program&nbsp;-&nbsp;as an independent contractor, you control how you build your practice.&nbsp;</p>

<ul>

<li><strong>Days 1–30:</strong>&nbsp;Get access to internal systems (CRM, buyer database); get familiar with our ICP, positioning, and templates; begin mapping and activating your existing network.&nbsp;</li>

<li><strong>Days 31–60:</strong>&nbsp;Run qualification conversations with warm contacts; build a tracked pipeline of prospective opportunities.&nbsp;</li>

<li><strong>Days 61–90:</strong>&nbsp;Convert a qualified conversation into a signed mandate&nbsp;-&nbsp;originate your first deal entirely from your own network.&nbsp;</li>
