Warehouse Assistant Manager (Full Time) - Chicago, IL

<em>A&amp;C Plastics is a value-based plastic distributor that has been growing steadily for over 50 years—and we’re not slowing down. We’re looking for a&nbsp;</em><strong><em>Warehouse Assistant Manager</em></strong><em> to help lead daily operations. </em>

&nbsp;

<em>This role is hands-on and leadership-driven—you’ll be responsible for keeping the warehouse running efficiently, ensuring accuracy, and supporting the team to get orders out the door the right way, every time.<br><br></em>

<strong><u>HOURS:</u></strong>&nbsp;Monday - Friday, 7:00am to 4:00pm<br><br>

<strong><u>COMPENSATION:</u></strong>&nbsp;Base Salary + Benefits&nbsp;<br><br>

<strong><u>KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:</u></strong>

<ul>

Oversee pulling and packaging teams to ensure orders are picked and shipped accurately and on time

</li>

<li>

Manage receiving operations to ensure material is checked in and stocked efficiently

</li>

<li>

Review pulling reports and address accuracy issues as needed

</li>

<li>

Oversee maintenance of warehouse equipment and vehicles

</li>

<li>

Conduct and document monthly safety meetings

</li>

<li>

Print and distribute order and shipping documents for warehouse processing

</li>

<li>

Push completed orders through invoicing in the ERP system

</li>

<li>

Coordinate freight pickups and communicate with carriers

</li>

<li>

Inspect outgoing shipments and verify against documentation

</li>

<li>

Assist with routing of local deliveries

</li>

<li>

Operate a forklift to pick, transport, and package materials

</li>

<li>

Maintain internal record-keeping systems

</li>

<li>

Ensure proper packaging procedures for safe transport of materials

</li>

<li>

Maintain a clean, organized, and secure warehouse

</li>

<li>

Provide tracking updates to the sales team

</li>

<li>

Resolve delivery and shipping issues as they arise

</li>

<li>

Assist with inventory management, cycle counts, and ERP reconciliation

</li>

<li>

Lead physical inventory processes

</li>

<li>

Cross-train across all warehouse functions and drive process improvements

</li>

</ul>

<strong><u>SKILLS &amp; REQUIREMENTS:</u></strong>

<ul>

Previous warehouse and leadership experience required

</li>

<li>

Forklift experience is a plus

</li>

<li>

Clean driving record required

</li>

<li>

Must be 20+ years old

</li>

<li>

Must be able to pass a drug screen and background check

</li>

<li>

Willing to travel to Houston, Texas, if necessary

</li>

<li>

Strong attendance, punctuality and reliability (this is a big deal here)

</li>

<li>

Ability to delegate, lead, and hold team members accountable

</li>

<li>
