About this role

<p>Hours:&nbsp;40 hours across 5 days per week</p>

<p>Salary:&nbsp;£31,650 per annum</p>

<p>Atlas Hotels&nbsp;is hiring a Head Housekeeper (16 month FTC) &nbsp;right now at the Holiday Inn Express Dunfermline</p>

<p>So what does a Head Housekeeper do?&nbsp;</p>

<p><em>Employee&nbsp;</em></p>

<li>Lead and organise the Housekeeping team ensuring they are in the right place at the right time, to enable a great experience to our guests</li>

<li>Supervise, guide and motivate Housekeeping Assistants and Supervisors on the job</li>

<li>Understand and role model the Atlas Values and associated behaviours</li>

<li>Nurture a learning culture, coaching and developing others to success and managing underperformance appropriately</li>

<li>Communicate effectively, ensuring that Housekeeping Assistants and Supervisors are aware of information that will affect their shift as well as Atlas updates and priorities</li>

<li>Undertake effective job check ins with Housekeeping Assistants and Supervisors</li>

<li>Support the Hotel Manager in ensuring that all new employees receive a warm ‘Atlas welcome’ and thorough induction</li>

<li>Understand HR procedures and raise conduct and other such concerns to the Hotel Manager&nbsp;</li>

</ul>

<p><em>Guest Experience</em></p>

<p><br></p>

<ul>

<li>Deliver a great guest experience through ensuring the housekeeping operation/team runs smoothly and effectively, achieving KPIs as required.</li>

<li>Monitor and supervise the work of the Housekeeping team&nbsp;</li>

<li>Undertake room checks as required</li>

<li>Take responsibility for the effective rostering of Housekeeping staff</li>

<li>Communicate the daily tasks and priorities to Housekeeping Assistants in line with Company processes</li>

<li>Be an active and effective team member, working together to achieve hotel goals</li>

<li>Monitoring any issues with rooms to other members of the team (eg Maintenance) as soon as possible, escalating on behalf of the team as necessary</li>

<li>Ensuring the Housekeeping team receive full training for their roles and managing any issues through coaching and performance management</li>

<li>Maintaining cleanliness, hygiene and Atlas standards in both public and private areas, taking pride in the hotel and its team</li>

<li>Effectively manage complaints using our ‘service recovery’ principles</li>

<li>Understand and have a good knowledge of the products and services available at the hotel</li>

<li>Understand guest satisfaction scores and maintain a good knowledge of hotel areas of focus</li>

<li>Demonstrate good local knowledge and proactively provide this to guests when required</li>

<li>Maintain compliance standards</li>

<li>Positively represent the Atlas brand</li>

<li>Take accountability for own development, career progression and growth in role&nbsp;<br></li>

<li>Understand budget targets and work within these to manage staffing costs</li>

</ul>

<p>What experience do I need?&nbsp;<br><br></p>

<ul>

<li>Previous experience of working in Housekeeping roles, ideally in a supervisory position</li>

<li>Previous people management experience</li>

</ul>
