<p>Advanced Practice Provider (NP/PA) – Addiction Medicine</p>

<p>Full-Time | $120,000–$128,000 | Traverse City, Michigan | Hybrid Flexibility</p>

<p>Addiction Treatment Services (ATS) is seeking a compassionate and collaborative Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to provide medical care within our Withdrawal Management and residential substance use disorder treatment programs.</p>

<p>This is an opportunity to practice differently.</p>

<p>Our APP is an important part of an interdisciplinary team focused on helping people safely navigate withdrawal, stabilize medically, and move forward in recovery. The position combines on-site patient care with telehealth flexibility and limited evening on-call availability.</p>

<p>What You'll Do</p>

<p>The APP will serve as ATS's primary direct-care medical provider in collaboration with the Medical Director, nursing, clinical, and recovery-support teams.</p>

<p>Responsibilities include:</p>

<ul>

<li>Provide daily medical care and rounding within Withdrawal Management and residential services.</li>

<li>Complete admission of medical assessments, histories and physicals, and other required evaluations within scope of practice.</li>

<li>Assess and monitor patients experiencing withdrawal.</li>

<li>Provide ongoing medical evaluation and required reassessments.</li>

<li>Prescribe, adjust, discontinue, and manage medications within scope of practice.</li>

<li>Provide medication-assisted treatment/medications for opioid use disorder when appropriately credentialed.</li>

<li>Respond to nursing questions and changes in patient condition.</li>

<li>Provide evening on-call support through telephone or telehealth when clinically appropriate.</li>

<li>Coordinate care with hospitals, pharmacies, primary care providers, specialists, and community partners.</li>

<li>Complete timely and accurate documentation, treatment orders, service-plan reviews, and required signatures.</li>

<li>Participate in interdisciplinary treatment planning and clinical consultation.</li>

<li>Collaborate closely with the Medical Director regarding complex patients, protocols, quality, and medical care.</li>

<li>Support continuity of care as individuals transition between ATS programs and community providers.</li>

</ul>

<p>These responsibilities reflect the APP functions identified in ATS's compliance review, including admission/H&amp;P functions, withdrawal monitoring, medication management, 72-hour reassessments, residential medical support, MAT/MOUD and documentation.</p>

<p>What We're Looking For</p>

<ul>

<li>Current Michigan Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant license, or ability to obtain prior to employment.</li>

<li>Prescriptive authority consistent with professional scope of practice.</li>

<li>DEA registration/controlled-substance authority as appropriate to assigned responsibilities.</li>

<li>Strong clinical judgment and ability to work independently while collaborating with a physician Medical Director.</li>

<li>Excellent communication and documentation skills.</li>

<li>Compassionate and respectful approach to individuals experiencing substance use disorders.</li>

<li>Ability to work effectively with nursing and interdisciplinary behavioral health teams.</li>

<li>Experience in addiction medicine, withdrawal management, behavioral health, emergency medicine, hospital medicine or similar settings preferred, but not required.</li>
