Investment Banking Analyst

<p>AQ Technology Partners is a boutique investment bank focused on the software ecosystem, specializing in M&amp;A and financial sponsor transactions. We are seeking an experienced Investment Banking Analyst to join our team supporting transactions with growth software companies based in our Redwood City, CA office.</p>

<p>Both investment banking experience required. Preference for technology and/or software industry experience.</p>

<p>Our Analysts benefit from our small teams, working closely with experienced senior technology bankers, and getting hands-on experience on live deals in a multitude of technology and software-centric subsectors. On a day-to-day basis our analysts:</p>

<ul>

<li>Create financial models including forecast models, retention analyses, and other key analytical models to support transactions</li>

<li>Conduct financial valuations, including comparable company analysis, discounted cash flow analysis, and comparable transaction analysis</li>

<li>Create and maintain industry-specific business development presentations</li>

<li>Conduct industry- and company-specific research</li>

<li>Create buyer lists, and support deal execution processes</li>

<li>Interact with clients and senior bankers</li>

</ul>

<p>A successful candidate will possess the following characteristics:</p>

<ul>

<li>Minimum one year of investment banking or related financial experience</li>

<li>Bachelor’s degree from a top tier school</li>

<li>Demonstrated history of strong academic performance</li>

<li>Demonstrated passion for finance and technology</li>

<li>Commitment to hard work and enthusiasm for creative thinking</li>

<li>Candidates must be able to handle multiple projects at once and learn quickly</li>

<li>Team player who is able to effectively interact with a variety of internal groups and clients</li>

<li>Previous experience with financial modeling or formal training</li>
